#18: "Pit Bulls can have a sudden Jihad syndrome."

Where and when is unpredictable. Just like their Muslim litter mates.

Pit bull owners should face jail time and huge financial fines for the losses others have to endure because of the crap breed

I was on the phone a couple of days ago with a friend in east TN, who had a former classmate friend was attacked by 2 pits while he was out walking alone on a public road. A neighbor found him in a ditch, called an ambulance, and he's been in the hospital ever since. It's amazing he's alive -- needs lots of surgeries, lost both ears, face mauled, etc.

This didn't even make the news, presumably because it happened well outside of town. Both dogs were caught and put down, but so far I don't think the owner has been held to account.

Thug accessory dogs.

For exercise, I meant, not house. My parents didn’t do anything with her.

That second photo of the little girl looking at her baby brother is going to stick in my mind for a long time knowing their horrible fate. Totally unavoidable.

Oh yeah. The badass bad boys with deadly snakes. Tough guys.

Many times they meet a fitting end when one of their “babies” digs in its venomous death fangs. Oops!

Those last moments of feeling your life painfully ebb away must provoke a deep sense of irony, knowing that the nearest anti-venom is two continents away, and that you only have a few minutes left.

Yep, and there’s never any details to these stories. Who raised the dogs? Did the family raise them from pups? Were they socialized?

I’ve had a Chow, the “one man dog” that protected some kids she hadn’t seen in years. Had a half pit for over 10 years that watched over all of us.

Had Great Pyrenees and they “never hurt humans” bite me in the neck. He’s dead now. Got him when he was allegedly 4 years old. Walked across the yard one time with a big stick and noticed he ran and hid. Someone beat him. Made him mean.

Why are Burmese pythons even allowed as pets? One killed a two year old in a crib, because the snake was underfed. I wished it had killed the idiot owner instead. They’re also a plague in Florida, and are upsetting the eco-balance.

What I have seen is that PB’s reflect their owners, as do most dogs.
The only “Bad” PB’s I have ever seen belonged to gang bangers or wanna-be’s.

Any dog can have unknown health issues, I don’t know what is being put in dog food these days but cancer/tumors are incredibly common in dogs today.
Brain tumor in one dog, and the other follows its actions?
Doubt the autoritah bothered to look.

Several years ago I rescued a Doberman Pinscher that was going to be put down in the usual gruesome manner by the local pound. (Vacuum chamber, as cruel as possible!)
The workers were afraid of it. Six weeks later that Doby was so sweet it was stolen, a witness said the thief just opened his car door and called to the dog.

I am just old enough to remember when Dalmatians were being overbred/inbred in response to the Disney movie.
Shortly after that they got a bad rep too, but there was no internet to sensationalize it.

Once again, it is Pit-bulls. Don’t tell me it is the owner. Evidence shows otherwise. These dogs have been bred to kill. It’s in their DNA, much like a wolf going after prey or anything they think is threatening to them.

After all the stories of these dogs killing children, why do parents even take the chance that their “loving, family pit-bull” might turn on their child and kill them. With a small infant, death is almost assured. Why risk it? Either have a dog such as this, or a child. Make your choice. The two do not mix.

Pitbulls should be considered criminals and locked up. Oh, that’s right lately criminals aren’t locked up. I bad.

Always better to be safe than sorry. Even though, my parents’ pit was raised from a puppy and never abused, never hurt the cats or the other dog, I wasn’t going to take chances with a baby or small child. Too many horror stories. And those two beasts photographed that the owner had in this tragic story, looked like they could have killed her even though she was 99 pounds, and half pit.

Those things can eat an alligator or a deer.

I remember a couple years ago in New York City, some ghetto boy who wanted to be thought of as a bad ass kept a huge python for a "pet". He'd feed it live chickens and get a boner when the python squeezed the chickens to death. Then one day the ghetto boy took a chicken to feed to his pet python. Unfortunately that day the python wasn't in the mood for chicken so he ate the ghetto boy instead. True story.

I saw a photo in The Everglades of a python who ate an alligator. Swallowed more than he could and it killed him. You could see that gator’s legs sticking out of his sides.

Yeah, that ghetto kid needed to go if he was getting sexual/excitement off of death. He could have moved onto humans like a lot of serial killers.

The Rottweilers are close but not near as dangerous as the pit bull.

I have a Rottie. If you walk into my house, you better be allergic to her saliva because she'll lick you to death, but if you reach for her Mama, you're toast.

That’s horrible. I just don’t even go walking my myself, my dog, my cat in his stroller, without having a sharp object on hand. It could be animal or human that’s a threat.

Saying a pit bull is not the problem is like saying Russian Roulette is a perfectly safe game. Most of the time, it is.

The underground dog fighting culture is still a thing and it pops up in the news every so often.
