Actor Billy Eichner has spent years smearing conservatives and Republicans, attacking Christianity, and lashing out at just about anybody who disagrees with him politically. The star of Disney’s The Lion King just watched his $22 million LGBTQ romantic comedy make an abysmal $4 million in its Box Office debut over the weekend. In response to the film’s poor performance, an angry Eichner appears to blame (at least) two things: homophobia and “straight people in a certain parts of the country.”
The film, trumpeted as Hollywood’s first major gay romcom, initially received enthusiastic acclaim from critics but has been largely ignored by cinema goers.

So, straight men are transphobes if they don’t want to date someone who has/had a dick and now we’re homophobes if we don’t want to spend our money watching a gay movie?
Well, then we can’t win unless we convert. Too bad.
@ultrapurwater:
“Universal spent $30-$40 million to promote Bros in addition to $22 million to make it to get less than 5 million to get a box office bomb. Its a rejection of Billy Eichner”
Eichner said it was a sold out screening.
@IngramPinky:
“If it was a sold out theater, they must’ve put everyone in America who bought a ticket in a single screening.”
@NotKennyRogers:
“The gay comedy “Bros” opened in over 3,300 screens this weekend and made less than $5 million.
For people who don’t follow box office results, this is a bomb of historic proportions...and yet another reminder that 3% of Twitter isn’t real life.”
5 mil div by 3300 is 1515...if tickets are
$15 each (probably more) it meant 101 people saw it on each screen...all weekend, total.
Soon to be shown as a feature at the Biden White House.
After this article of a horror show....I would like to advocate for a movie that just came out on Fox searchlight(arthouse) pictures...”See how they Run”...The title is an oblique reference to Agatha Christy’s “The Mouse Trap” which figures into the movie’s plot. A generally clean movie with very few swear words( a few D’s and some s’s but no f’s that I heard). It is a British romp and funny. No exploitive sex scenes just references to divorce and a discreet affair with no nudity or naughty bits shown. The chemistry and antics between the struggling lady constable who borders on being pathologically nervous and comically talkative paired with a depressed alcoholic inspector who is soft spoken and given to few words is a delight to watch. It is set in London in 1953.
It was very refreshing that such a movie could be released...adult, yet comical and non-exploitive. I hope it acheives sleep hit then full on hit status!
Star of “The Lion King?”
I though that was the kid on “Home Improvement.” And James Earl Jones. 🤷🏻♀️
Wait until his next movie, his homosexual reimagining of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory...
(anything you can imagine the plot would be likely doesn’t match the depravity)
among other things....
sleeper hit I then become a big hit...I meant to say in the previous post.
It’s all fun and games until a sick degenerate pedophile pillow-biting queer starts ranting at the normal, straight people. STFU, billybitch.
Pro conservative film An American Carol was
heavily panned by critics. It’s about director “Michael Malone” and his attempt to
“ban the Fourth of July!”
Two lesbians tell him, “We support you!”
Michael:”Thank you, boys!”
His co worker:”They’re women!!”
That kind of comedy truly offended the woke
critics.
Gee what a shame. And I'm sure the number would be much lower if they tracked and subtracted walkouts.
Screw faggotry.
Sorry Billy… we don’t want your PROPAGANDA.
We watch movies for ENTERTAINMENT; NOT to be “schooled” on deviant, degenerate lifestyles as being a ‘good’ thing…
Grow up, idjut.
Not gonna lie, even if he was the nicest and most supportive MAGA dude ever I have zero interest in every going to see a gay romantic comedy. I am sure I am not alone.
Maybe I have led a sheltered life, since I never heard of the dude. Looks like I haven’t missed much.
So his new movie’s attendance is circling the crapper. That’s a shame.
Remember when they just asked for “tolerance”?
Maybe this goes to show the world that there aren’t as many LGBTQ+++ people as they want us to believe.
I saw an ad for this deviant foray on the Cross Bronx Expressway the other day. It consisted of a rear medium shot of two males, standing side by side , one of whom is grabbing the ass of the other. To the people who made the film and concocted this ad, THAT is the romantic part of this “RomCom”. That’s the problem with deviant’s, they can’t see their distortion on account of their distortion.
Watched his $22 million LGBTQ romantic comedy make an abysmal $4 million.
He would have made more money doing a Amos and Andy movie and ticked fewer people.
