Even with all the destruction, it’s better to live in a state run by good people than not. I’m stuck here with my family and investments but I have like minded people around me. That helps.

(Looking at another video on that news site)

Sure there’s a lot of damage ...

but at least SOME of those trailers made it thru the storm.

Possibly a bit wetter than before the storm ...

You’re in a Hurricane zone.

It’s Hurricane season.

Build stronger bridges.

Fort Meyers is coastal. I hope, and assume, that inland Florida fared better?

In Hartford, Hereford, and Hampshire, hurricanes hardly happen

“I hope, and assume, that inland Florida fared better?”

I think mostly a rain event with flooding.

On the east coast around St. Augustine it’s like a really bad northeaster right now.....compared to SW Florida as long as it doesn’t get any worse we are very fortunate where I am.

Prayers for those affected by Ian, but hurricanes happen, always have, always will, like earthquakes in California.

Even FDR would say the same thing, and he was President when the most devastating hurricane hit Florida, the Labor day hurricane of 1935.

“”In Hartford, Hereford, and Hampshire, hurricanes hardly happen””

Love it - wonder how many get it? I will not thank you because now it will stick in my brain all day!!!

I looked up “A Whiter Shade of Pale” a week ago and it’s still in my brain along with “Can’t Live Without You.”
Only look songs/lyrics up if you’re willing to have them stay with you forever!

I guess we know why for a long time Florida was just place to visit in the winter time, and not live full time.
