What would you do if your sandwich order came with a stack of cash? It happened to one woman at an unnamed Georgia restaurant.
FORT WORTH POLICE DEPARTMENT VIA TWITTER
A Georgia woman hit the fast-food jackpot when she ordered a sandwich and later discovered it was served on a crisp bed of cash. It happened Wednesday, Sept. 14, in Jackson, 50 miles southeast of Atlanta, and Joann Oliver’s next move caught police off guard. “Jackson police were called to Mrs. Oliver’s workplace,” the police department said in a Facebook post. “Mrs. Oliver had (gone) to a local restaurant (drive-thru) on her lunch break and returned to work to enjoy her lunch. When she opened her lunch, and removed her sandwich, she was surprised to find $543.10 in cash under her sandwich.”

Character and integrity is doing the right thing when no one is looking!!! The Jackson Police Department would like to honor Mrs. Joann Oliver for her honesty and goodness. On Wednesday, September 14, 2022 Jackson Police were called to Mrs. Oliver's workplace. Mrs. Oliver had went to a local restaurant drive through on her lunch break and returned to work to enjoy her lunch. When she opened her lunch, and removed her sandwich, she was surprised to find $543.10 in cash under her sandwich. After investigating the find, it was determined that the restaurant's daily deposit had accidentally been placed in her sandwich bag. Not only did Mrs. Oliver do the right thing but she saved the managers job. Mrs. Oliver thank you for reminding us that we have amazing Citizens in Jackson and its people like you that make us great!

Now *that* is a Happy meal.
Only with coupon and purchase of a regular meal price......
Cool story.
Police press official needs a grammar lesson: “Mrs. Oliver had went to a local restaurant drive through ...”
HAD WENT???
I think someone was in the till and hid money in a paper bag.
But good on her for doing the right thing. Especially knowing that she likely never would have been found out.
$100 bills?? What’s wrong with this picture?
Makes sense. Especially in urban areas. Carry a zippered, locked deposit bag to the bank and these days...you'll likely be accosted and robbed. A paper sandwich bag would probably not get noticed.
"$10,000! Thank you, and come again!"
I was thinking along the same lines. The manager of that restaurant must now get to the bottom of why cash was being kept in a paper bag in the first place. Could be an employee was skimming the register but that’s hard to do with today’s surveillance and point-of-sale technology.
Public school.
It’s just a stock pic of cash...................
It's the South. We're a little relaxed when it comes to past participles.
Yeah, hi. I’d like a double cheeseburger with a side of cash, please. Hold the onions.
You’re right.
Should been:
DONE WENT..........................😜
I was getting money out of a TYME machine (a type of ATM) one time, when I saw this girl walk up and drop a fast food bag into the night deposit. Kind of a security gimmick so it is less obvious that that person is carrying cash.
Would you like fries with that?................😁
That’s a lot of lettuce with that burger.
America needs a “Those Wacky Drive Thrus” reality show.
