Exactly- people are now forced to decide between groceries or gas
Oil prices are dropping

There’s an election coming up!
End of summer driving season and summer blends.
Soon they will be shifting over to winter blends. Goes back up then.
The candidate said “we drove gas prices up to five bucks and then eased them down to four,” and the people cheered and clapped. That was when there was still gas, of course.
Strategic Reserve dumped into the market at low prices.
also look for lots of orange road construction barrels off to the side of the road where there is no construction
Absolutely right, then they stop draining after Republicans take congress and blame rising prices on Republicans. If we don’t take congress they still stop so either way prices are going up day after election day
Because many Americans can not afford to drive as much because everything else they need, like food, if even available, is 20 to 30 percent higher than last year. Some things I buy have even doubled in price. Much has to do with transportation cost that in addition to increases for diesel like taxes, permits, and all other ways the government extorts money from truckers which is passed on to consumers. The only chance this country has is to help conservatives to take back power and get Trump elected again. He proved he could do it last time and we were on a great path until they stole the election and then quickly undid all the good he did. Half of Americans have become absolutely ignorant and don’t realize that they are just useful idiots. We let college professors who never had a real job turn our kids into communist and absolute morons who graduate dumber than when they started. We will know in a little over two years whether or not American is doomed. I am old enough thankfully that it won’t have long to affect me but I regret having children at this point. I love them enough to regret handing them and their decedents a disaster. I truly hope God shows mercy and sends his son back our way soon.
Gas Down to 4.09 (regular unleaded) here in Pittsburgh, Pa suburb. Food prices still rising. Especially 6 packs of 16.9 oz pop. Now nearly 1.00 per bottle. Some food items I get weekly up 25-66% from a year ago. Empty spaces in grocery shelves as people scoop up sale items like maniacs.
Demand has dropped.
CL1:COM
WTI Crude Oil (Nymex)
USD/bbl. 82.78 -4.10 -4.72% Oct 2022 1:15 PM
Well, crude is almost down to $80.00 bbl so yeah, it is affecting the price.
.
Since everything is now political, I am sure there is a political reason for this to be happening.
12% plus contraction in the economy. Lower demand.
Same here. $3.19/gal. at Food City.
With the piddling amount of oil being drawn and sold vs. the greater market of oil, the drawdown will NOT affect world oil prices what so ever. And, they are drawing down the oil purchased for our military (and purchased at bargain prices compared to what they are selling at now— and thus a complete WASTE of the original expenditure which keeps a stockpile forever if left alone, and cheaply).
The numbers do not work out in ANY way, but as propaganda— “we be doing.... sumpthin’” really nothing except getting a kick through Hunter’s chi-com pals firm. Grift, and graft.
Election day is around the corner and the useful idiot democrat voter will believe biden helped make it happen.
It is also the end of summer travel such as there was, and the beginning of the “winter additive changeover” formula which is cheaper. The prices are not ever going back to 2— because the source of our oil is from overseas— SHIPPED here where we were exporting our own out of the country.
Especially surprising after the BP Whiting accident
