McDonald’s is bringing a British hit to the US

McDonald’s Chicken Big Mac was a huge hit in the United Kingdom. Now it’s crossing the pond.

Beginning later this month, the burger chain is testing the fan favorite at select restaurants in Miami for a limited time. The Chicken Big Mac is similar to its meaty sibling, however it replaces the two burgers with two tempura chicken patties. Of course, it also includes the signature Big Mac sauce, pickles, shredded lettuce and a slice of American cheese.

McDonald’s briefly sold the limited-time offering earlier this year in the UK. The Chicken Big Mac was so popular that it sold out about 10 days after it made its debut. The chain said that it was its “most popular launch ever” in the UK and Ireland.

In a statement, McDonald’s said that it’s “always looking to give our fans more ways to enjoy the classic menu items they know and love.” However, it cautioned that the Chicken Big Mac is just being tested and it will use “this time to gather feedback from both customers and restaurant crew as we consider opportunities to offer more delicious options in the future.”

Cuban residents are not welcome. But they are on the whole pretty skinny.

Being starved by a murderous communist regime will have that effect.

There’s a local livestock auction where McDonalds is a major buyer of worn our dairy cows on their last legs.

Except that McDonalds buys it's meat from independent meat processors. Many of them. There are no McDonald's cows, no McDonald's slaughterhouses and no McDonald's meat packing facilities.

You probably believed the "McDonalds burgers are made of WORMS!" crap too...

You are correct. The meat processors are the ones buying the dairy cows.

The man holding the sandwich, showing 2 fingers on the other hand could be seen as an obscene gesture across the pond. Our version of flipping the bird.

McDonald’s food is absolute garbage. The assholes who run that cooperation chose this dumb ass policy of selling garbage. They could have used their wealth and experience in the industry to do good things. They chose poorly. Screw them. I cannot wait to see their industry collapse. ~

During the 1960's, there was a chain of hamburger joints in England called Wimpy, and the burgers they served lived up to that name--pretty wimpy by US standards. However, other than at US military bases, they were the only hamburgers available in all of Europe.

I could most certainly identify with Chuck Berry when he sang,

Looking hard for a drive-in, searching for a corner cafe
Where hamburgers sizzle on an open grill night and day,
You can bet your boots I did till I got back in the USA.
