You can tell by the look on my face that he just pointed out something HUGE about what went down at Mar-a-Lago this week.

Thanks for the script. Yes, the FBI needed nine hours to reach their goal: to find dirt on Trump. Nine hours means they could not find any dirt. FBI : a bunch of losers without success in life.

I have implants, and they give great distance vision. Those plastic lenses do not change focus, so closeup work requires a pair of glasses for each working distance. Assume you put on glasses in order to see a lathe's cutter on the work. Now you can't see the feed dials. Put on glasses for the feed dials, now you can't see the cutter.

This is very frustrating. I used to have a great retirement pass-time.

I had cataracts at a young age (60) and after removal had multi-focal lens implanted. It’s a modern miracle! No glasses anymore, and I can see very fine print, close, medium, and far distances without any help. There are a couple of times I’ve needed a pair of readers or magnifying glass to see very small intricate detail like for fine sewing, but almost all of the time, I don’t need a thing. Insurance covered 80% of my surgery except for lenses I had to pay for out of pocket. You might look into it. A godsend for me!

I highly recommend! Find the best eye doctor you can find. Worth their weight in gold. I had waited to find the right doctor. I don’t trust my eyes to just any Tom, Dick, or Harry. My guy is superb!

I’ve had contacts for many years. Implants are a blessing imo.

I had glasses when I was a kid, then contacts, then Lasix. This is my final surgery.

I know how it went. By the seventh grade the blackboard seemed empty.

Having been here for almost 20 years, the point of the site is to summarize news articles so people do NOT have to go to the original sites/videos.

I, for one, hate watching videos. I can read faster than the stupid video can play.

I got my first pair in 5th grade. We were very poor, so I had to get the practically free ones, which were so ugly. They were hideous. Then one blessed day I had them tucked in my shoes for after school, and someone didn’t realize and stepped on them and broke them in half. I went without for two months of school and that summer. My parents skimped enough money for another pair which was ok but I still hated them.

When I was 17, I begged my dad to let me get a job so I could earn the price of contacts on my own. We had a family business and he didn’t want to lose me to somebody else, so he met me halfway. He let me get a part time job at a department store and he paid for half of them. I wore those contacts for a long long time (they were hard lenses but I adjusted fine).

Lasix was great, too, but as I got older, I needed readers. I hated that but had nothing else I could do. When my current doctor said I was eligible for multi-focal implants, I rejoiced. He said I could live happily ever after, and for 2 years now, I have been! It’s so awesome. A true miracle!

"isn’t that what this entire site is all about, if you find an interesting story or a new point of view on a subject you post it and put up a bit and provide a link to the story if you want to read more about the subject you clink on the link."

No, "put up a bit" should include at least the main point, while severe brevity degrades the site to be more like Drudge. Read: An exhortation to those who post thread (normally post as much of the meat of the article as allowed, describe videos, etc.) if we want to help make FR even better as the premier conservative new aggregator then it is not by uncritically posting a few sentences from clickbait articles from such sites as bigleaguepolitics.com, which means actually going to the article and navigating btwn ads in order to see more, and finding the source article (if there is one) to get the complete story. Nor carelessly posting the first few sentences of stories including ad lines as some even do. But by providing the most pertinent excerpts in the first 100 words from the source (that number is what will show up under FR Articles (if you choose Text), and up to 300 word excerpts where allowed for copyrighted articles.

This helps if we seek to help people who want to be better informed about issues pertinent to Christian and conservative issues, of which FR is the best (and best moderated) among the rest. On FR you can select (under Settings) up to 250 articles being shown in Latest articles, with as said, up to 100 words being shown, with no ads (except the raiser). Thus a scanning of FR twice a day one can keep up with such events and input without taking much time.

In contrast, having to go to other sites since the post lacks important basic info usually means facing all sorts of ads, while in the background network requests can be slowing down your system (Gateway Pundit means loading up to 500 network requests in the background for its homepage, versus 3 for FR articles page). In addition, trying to post comments on such means having another account with such liberal services as Disqus, and risking "awaiting moderation" and often deletion of your work (esp. if linking to FR) due to a bot and biased mods.

No money.

I know several people who have gotten implants. They could see 20/20 but couldn't read anything. Especially frustrating if you were always near-sighted.
A friend recently got the bifocal implants. One eye healed very quickly but 2 months later he still has one that isn't doing well.
I can't afford it. Only have Medicare A & B which pays for nothing.

Does Medicare/Medicaid pay for implants?

I had them before 65 and my work healthcare plan paid for most of it.
