Climate activists fill golf holes with cement after water ban exemption

Climate activists in southern France have filled golf course holes with cement to protest against the exemption of golf greens from water bans amid the country's severe drought.

The group targeted sites near the city of Toulouse, calling golf the "leisure industry of the most privileged".

The exemption of golf greens has sparked controversy as 100 French villages are short of drinking water.

Golf officials say greens would die in three days without water.

"A golf course without a green is like an ice-rink without ice," Gérard Rougier of the French Golf Federation told the France Info news website. He added that 15,000 people worked in golf courses across the country.

Agragate, gravel is mixed with cement to make concrete.

So you’re saying they’re prone to monkeypox?

Believeable!

You use cement to make concrete. Cement is one component of concrete.

In vernacular the terms are used pretty much interchangeably.

All that work to dig sand and stone with the use of deseal and transporting it to the store. Then these little freaks drive to the store to purchase it and water. Now, the golf course had to use some sort of energy to dig up the mess and replace with new cup. Of course, the bozos don’t realize all manufacturing that goes into the process. They should be sentenced to do the work themselves.

so... these idiots standing in the woods behind the trees staring at the greens wondering how they can do direct action against the golf course. One of them comes up with this brilliant idea!

So they go to the home depot and buy a bag of quic-krete full of chemicals and fibers... mix it up in a plastic bucket... with water from a plastic hose... pumped by the city that uses electricity... generated from coal to operate the pumps. Then they use a gasoline powered truck to haul it around 18 holes and pour it into the cups.

Players on the green will say ... “mmmh... tough hole.”

Correct. And the making of cement, an of course essential component of concrete, is not exactly environmentally “friendly”.

DO the people know how to dig wells? France is low on drinking water? For some reason I don’t believe it. Fuel for A/C and heat maybe but water?

We should fill their buttholes full of cement but that would be a lot of cement.

It would also ruin their sex lives.

Climate activists in southern France have filled golf course holes with cement to protest against the exemption of golf greens from water bans amid the country's severe drought.

Question for the "climate activists:"

What greenhouse gas do growing golf courses remove from the atmosphere?

Corollary question:

What greenhouse gas will dead and rotting golf courses release into the atmosphere?

Exactly!

Regards,

The greater point is, it isn't the golf course's fault. Every organism (including a business) does whatever if feels conducive to its survival. What these Watermelons fail to grasp is that their real beef is with whichever bureaucracy or government agency gave this golf course the water exemption in the first place. They're attacking the consequence of the act (a case of too little, too late) rather than addressing the source of the "problem."

Just like “footage” or “filming” for video, “ice box” for refrigerator, “clip” for magazine. Offenders should be shot.

Many courses are using gray water as opposed to potable water. Do these extremist know for certain what is the source of this course’s water?

Yeah..I watched a video similar to this one a few days ago. Takes the guy less than a minute to cut a new cup, complete with flag. The white spray paint is a nice touch. LOL

When there’re no holes in a pool table, it’s called billiards. Maybe they could adapt accordingly in golf.

Reminds me of a comment by one of my few conservative professors:

Standing by his office window, together we watched a feminazi protest over this, that and everything else, led by two lesbian professors. He shook his head side-to-side, and sighed, “Some time ago, someone filled their vaginas with cement, and we’ve all been paying for it ever since.”
