In a recent interview with Bloomberg, the executive vice president of UPS asserted that “regionalization” of the supply chain is critical to economic stability in a world where geopolitical conflicts continue expanding.
The word “regionalization” is basically another way to describe decentralization, a concept which the UPS representative obviously did not want to dive into. Almost every trade expert and industry insider admits that supply chain problems are going to persist into the foreseeable future, and some are starting to also admit (in a roundabout way) that localized production and trade models are the key to economic survival.
Think globally, source locally Localized production and trade are two challenges I and many other alternative economists have been talking about for a decade or more. The globalist dynamic of interdependency is a disaster waiting to happen, and now it’s happening.

The man is right. Trade is great, but a nation should be self sufficient if it wants real economic and military security. America used to be.
We no longer even have the skillsets to run, operate, and repair the machines and do the tooling necessary to operate large factories that we are dependent upon other nations to produce our shoes, clothing, tools, parts, every day items, electronics, and in many cases even processed food. (stay away from the middle aisles in the grocery stores, kids)
From a very reliable source…….Acetaminophen, even name brand Tylenol that makes most no brands is having serious supply issues.
Outages are expect to last for 6 months.
Product issues are chemicals for the medication (major issue) and minor on going plastic shortages issues for bottles.
Arthritis sufferers, get a large supply if you see it.
We support our local farmers here; Safeway? What’s that?
Believe them, as you will.
The web site suggests they are more than they are. The address is an office rental at a large short term office rental business.

As the bottom of the article, beneath the article itself is informative of the company one might be dealing with, "Roll over all or a portion of your IRA or 401(k) into a Precious Metals IRA. Talk to one of our Precious Metals Specialists today about how you can open a Gold IRA or Silver IRA, or how you can buy silver or gold coins and bars for physical possession."
It’s a Regional Grocery store.
I was being sarcastic; IOW, most of us don’t use box store groceries but get our food from the local farmers.

Well said. Manufacturing here in the USA needs to come back strong.
We don’t have “farm to market local farmers” around us. We never see roadside fruit stands or roadside farmers markets. All we see is farmers growing huge crops of ethanol corn, feed corn, peanuts and hay. Every once in a while a farmer may grow onions or “greens”. To buy an ear of corn at the store is 50 to 75 cents an ear.
We are in the middle of the largest propaganda war the world has ever seen. Toilet parer and baby formula were manipulated to cause panic. Food processing plant fires seemed like terrorists at work. So why is my store suddenly fully stocked?
Our local’s provide: eggs, milk, veggies, meat, etc.
We support our local farmers too. There are many farm stands here and of course the Farmers’ Market too. Some of those farmers also sell to City Market and Safeway so it all works out. But shopping at the stands and talking to the farmers is more fun than the big grocery stores. We do still need the big grocery stores for a lot of items the farms can’t provide however.

As seen on TV news report they will be a shortage of beer due to the carbonated water being a pollinate but no word about sodas.
When a power grab becomes an exhibition of stupidity.
Doesn’t the carbonation in beer come from from fermentation?
Or, are you referring to fake beer that has artificial carbonation?
Don’t know they make the rules.
