After Kansas, we have five states that have some sort of abortion question.

Question? What are we to do about this? We can’t sit and watch and say, “well the economy sucks.” It does. The type that voted in Kansas will vote in Kentucky, Montana and Michigan. I figure Vermont and California are goner anyway. It’s not that the question is there, but it could affect the races. Kansas put their question on the ballot because they thought nobody votes and colleges were out of session except for a few summer courses. The voting equaled a presidential year. I don’t see much worry which is not good. Michigan easily could be our this year. That Governor sucks. But now that every Karen is going to vote, the election got very difficult. Kansas also had 30 percent republicans who voted for the amendment. I’m sure they will in these states as well if not more. I know we’re mostly positive around here thinking that voters will do the right thing. I do not share that right now.

The pro-life activists have work to do. Get it done.

That is exactly why their side puts these things on the ballot.

That’s true but in the case of Kansas Montana and Kentucky it is our side doing it.

Looks like abortion may well be more of a motivator in November than anticipated.

On the ballot for the voter’s to decide how they want to run their state.

Convince your fellow citizens on the issues.

That is as it should be.

The vote in Kansas involved massive fraud. The Dems have their game down, and if ANY no-questions widespread ballot by mail is allowed, you can be assured the 100 “voters” are registered at a single address, as has been discovered in other conservative states.

They’ll simple do this in other states, and nothing will be done about it.

I strongly suspect that the usual suspects among the college age set was responsible for the overvote to pass that amendment.

The overall numbers just don’t fit a normal voting pattern, unless we consider college kids voting to pass a bill.

Very similar to how pot laws have been passed in Oklahoma and many other states. Just let the college kids vote, double vote and vote in their home state and in KS as well.

Gretchen Whitmer will easily win re-election in Michigan.

If there’re enough voters considering unlimited abortion rights more important than our rapidly collapsing standard of living, chaos overseas, etc. I’m not really sure there is anything that can be done than just allow things to take their course.

“Kentucky state court of appeals has reinstated the state’s so-called “trigger law” banning abortion as well as a separate law banning the procedure after roughly six weeks of pregnancy, siding with Attorney General Daniel Cameron and allowing the laws to temporarily be enforced while the case proceeds in the courts.”

Of course it was on purpose. It's what politicians (R & D) do.

I'm in Kansas and it wasn't difficult at all to understand.

Vote YES if you want to restore the power to the state legislature to regulate abortion, which the state supreme court in 2019 stripped them of (the court discovered a "right" to abortion in the state constitution which no one had ever seen since 1859 -- similar to what SCOTUS did in Roe in 1973).

Vote NO if you want abortion to be unregulated whatsoever in Kansas.

What is so difficult to understand about this?

Sorry to tell you this but probably zero chance that anything will be done in any of these states.
Its more likely that abortion will cost the GOP seats in these states.

“Vote NO if you want abortion to be unregulated whatsoever in Kansas.”

Well, what took the rest of us by surprise is that 60% of KS voters allegedly want unfettered abortion in their state and a make-believe right to abortion in their state constitution. Outcome seems counter-intuitive for a state with a GOP super-majority in the legislature. But I guess the Planned Barrenhood propaganda machine and its allies were very effective in the campaign?

The DNC focused on this particular election because it was the first such vote since Roe v. Wade was overturned.

It had nothing to do with Kansas.

Well we live in a country full of morons.

Inflation, foreign affairs, those things are hard for the average low information maroon out there to understand.

Abortion on the other hand, that's an easy one. You either think it's a baby and it's murder or you think it's a clump of cells and no big deal and the Republicans are trying to take away female rights.

With lots of propaganda from the press towards one side, it's not hard to see why so many idgits can get fired up.

Of those states only Kentucky has a senate race, Rand Paul who I assume even with a big turnout will still hold the Senate.

So I guess if Abortion is to be on the ballot it’s better now than 2024 though 2023 would be nicer.

It would have been hard to unseat the Democrat governors in Michigan and New York as is, now it will be next to impossible
