No doubt that the federal protection the seals and white sharks have has led to their population explosions.
Cape Cod is ideally located as a fast food (seal) restaurant for white sharks traversing up and down the East coast.
People are not protected, so you swim, surf and bathe at your own risk. - Tom
There Are More White Sharks Off Cape Cod Than Ever Before........
could it be............
There Are More seals Off Cape Cod Than Ever Before?....................
Seems to me Shark Week runs for about a month.
People are fascinated with sharks but they are the ocean’s apex predator. That would be the mighty Orca.
Shark week trying their dangdest to portray Sharks as non violent killers- Yet i notice that none who ‘study’ the sharks do so without being in a cage in the water around certain supposedly ‘surprisingly calm species around non food species’ as they like to refer to them-
You know when that shark bites with his teeth, babe
Scarlet billows start to spread
A classic example of racist “whites” preying on fish of color...
even white sharks are racist....better change the name...
if y’all recall correctly, there was a statement made during the filming of the original movie “Jaws”, tat before the emergence of the mechanical shark named ‘Bruce’, that ‘nary a great wbite was seen in the area!!
Senator Kennedy and his family must have killed so many people, disposing of their bodies in the ocean, that it permanently changed shark migration.
Even sharks like to vacation at Cape Cod.
In your opinion, is there any difference in the likelihood of a shark attack for a swimmer in:
1. The interior waters of Cape Cod Bay.
2. The ocean-facing (eastside) of Cape Cod.
3. The beaches of the island of Nantucket.
4. The beaches of the island of Martha’s Vineyard.
5. The little beaches near Boston.
I guess word is getting out.

I’m heading there for vacation next week! I guess I’d better be on the lookout.
There is so much we can learn from Great White Sharks.
Their work on Dark Matter is excellent.
So, how many provoked shark bites were there?
Just reread Jaws last week. They felt it was attracted to the area because of environmental law that increased the number of bunker fish in the region. Also read the bunker fish have increased in the region of late.
A reasonable assumption would be that it is the cumulative effect of the shark tagging program. But the media would like to scare you into thinking the White Sharks breed like rabbits.
