The savvy DeSantis is far more appealing than Trump to independent voters like me
NY Post ^ | Jul 26 2022 | Adam B. Coleman

The concept of America First embodies the American people’s aspirational goals to see policies that primarily benefit them, especially in an era when it feels as if they are being overshadowed by special-interest groups, corporate lobbyists and foreign agendas. It’s undoubtedly linked with President Donald Trump, but the question remains for the 2024 election: Can this idea thrive with someone else’s leadership?

That’s all true, but it was my observation that it was still very few that realized that’s what he was until he did what he did in 2020. They went (and some still go) on the principle of the good somehow outweighing the bad rather than a little leaven leavening the whole lump.

There a people out there that don’t like Trump or want him back in the White House.

People in the Republican Party, so-called Patriots and Conservatives etc. etc.

What do you mean by “he let opponents in Congress block it”? You saying the POTUS has Constitutional powers to override Congress and be a legislature unto himself, i.e. a dictator? I hope that’s not what you expect DeSantis to be if he finds himself in the Oval Office someday.

It was obvious after Pence caved to the gay mafia as governor that his piousness was just a facade of politics.

Obvious to me too. But not to those that still bought the notion that X percent conservative versus Y percent liberal means something merely because X > Y.

Coleman. Not the brightest lantern in the tent.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>.
Coleman said all that when he could have simply said “I don’t like Trump.”

Does savvy really work in DC? Imho what works is a hammer. Donald has no tact…. No desire to be politically correct. That’s what makes him unique and effective.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>.
Precisely so. No other prospective candidate comes close to having President Trump’s ability and determination to right the ship of state and toss the Deep State pirates overboard.

I won’t let anyone trick me into saying a negative word about either of these great men.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
My position also, because it’s crystal clear that’s exactly what the enemies of our country, i.e., the ‘rats and the RINOs want us to do. It amazes me how some self-proclaimed conservative patriots simply cannot resist the temptation to badmouth our own candidates. It’s the primary reason the GOP is commonly referred to as The Stupid Party!

Now that we have 2 great candidates for president - let’s pit them against each other and damage one or both.

Brilliant! /barf alert

Rintintin call only see the tree, not the forest. Looking forward to your next identical post in a few days….you’re always right on schedule….and narrow minded.

Except that all the polls show that the majority of Independents are very much in favor of Trump.

What do you mean by “he let opponents in Congress block it”“

Obviously, I mean Trump didn’t do what Lyndon Johnson did to get his Civil rights bill passed, or what Reagan did to get his 1981 tax cut enacted, or what Desantis did to get RINOs in the state legislature to approve his GOP-friendly redistricyingvplan — he didn’t twist arms. Just the opposite: when Mitch and Senate RINOs blocked his wall, he “retaliated” by ENDORSInG them for reelection! In contrast, Desantis told RINOs in the legislature that he’d run primary opponents against them if they didn’t drop their opposition to his redistributing agenda. Florida RINOs fear Desantis. RINOs in DC didn’t fear Trump, because there was no reason to. Most of the people he hired were TINos and when RINIS voted against him in a Congress he rewarded them with endorsements.

He was terrible at hiring and weak in dealing with Mitch and Paul Ryan

DeSantis needs to finish his job, and Trump needs to finish his job in the White House.

4 more years of Trump, then 8 years of DeSantis. 12 years of excellent leadership is what this country requires.

I thought so, too — that DeSantis’ speech was boring. Ho-hum. He has a few years to work on that.

Trump blasted Gov Kemp of Georgia for opening up. I was shocked when Trump did this, and the vehemence of. He was really under the spell of Fauci and Scarf.
