In the hour-long CNN Special Report: DEEP IN THE POCKETS OF TEXAS airing Friday, June 24 at 10pmET, Ed Lavandera reveals how a handful of influential billionaires steer the politics of school boards, city councils and the state legislature in Texas.

Texas is one of only 10 states with no limitations on campaign donations to candidates, and as a result, a few wealthy donors with strong religious views have an outsized influence on the government for approximately 30 million people. In a state known for its independence, Texas is usually at the forefront of legislation – and its conservative Republicans tell Lavandera that what’s happening now goes beyond ideology

I know its CNN, and they have a series about the recent decades, and this one was about the 90's, and about the rise of the internet.

I found it interesting, since the MSM basically back then in their reporting just reported the news and were not propaganda organs of the modern leftist democrat party.

I know it says June 24, but they were airing ads showing a repeat tomorrow.

Amazing they are quiet about Hunter Biden.

For CNN, it’s fine when THEIR billionaires pull all kinds of political dirty tricks (Zuckerberg, Soros, et al), but when OUR billionaires try to exert some influence, well, they’ll get all their staff digging into it.

So when are the evil doers at CNN going to do a series on Zuckerberg spending a massive $500 million to steal the elections for the Democrats and Dementia Joe in 2020?
Or on Soros spending hundreds of millions of dollars over DECADES to seal elections for far left State/district/city AG’s who then turn round and release vicious murderers back into society on free bail with or without charges?

Networks have been biased in favor of the Demonrats for just about as long as they’ve existed, the 1940s. CNN was egregiously so in the ‘90s, as was everyone else.

CNN: “a few wealthy donors with strong religious views have an outsized influence on the government for approximately 30 million people.”

Texans: “Approximately 30 million citizens with strong religious views have an outsized influence on the government.

So it’s a problem when the rich donors are Republican. Got it.

A friend who I spent a year with in Israel was a featured guest in the episode about the 80’s. I actually liked the series.

At the time Harkin wanted to implement the Fairness Doctrine, 94 % of the media supported the left and they were going after Rush on VOA radio.

No. Look at how the MSM treated Nixon and Reagan.

Back in 1971, my Hillsboro High School history teacher had us all get a student rate subscription to Time Magazine. On parent night my father asked whimsically if we had to subscribe to the editorial policy too? It was Leftist back then and even much earlier.

In 1988 CNN ran a show called “Inside Politics.” When Bush beat Dukakis, they ran their last show and never mentioned the outcome. They were hideous even then. And their hyping of Bill Clinton was clownish and criminal.
