The U.K. climate group whose members deflated tires on an estimated 40 vehicles in New York City last month recently announced similar actions in cities nationwide.

The Tyre Extinguishers, which encourages activists to deflate tires of parked sports utility vehicles (SUV) to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, said it has already spread to Chicago and the San Francisco area this month. Individuals affiliated with the group have deflated the tires of 20 SUVs in Chicago, another 20 SUVs in Scranton, Pa., and 12 SUVs near San Francisco this month, according to the group.

This post is to show how to beat this craziness with a simple fix:
Not Going into a lengthy Thread on this, but I have a nice work around for what these people are doing to the average person. They are deflating tires of anyone who owns a car. AKA anything that even looks like an SUV.

They do not advocate slashing tires but I imagine some people are. They only list a simple way to make it difficult for the vehicle owner. A way to simply deflate your tire, qand then run... Well...
If you come out and see you have a flat tire, first check the stem. If these people have place a small object inside the screw cap to deflate, then remove it. You can carry a quick infiltrator in your car, or even a small hand pump. Just pump it back up enough to make it to the local gas station.
This thing is growing and even is now in Chicago. People are finding flats. Just get the cap to the tire off and re inflate. Be sure to remove any debris inside the stem. It is what they do. Just another annoying bunch of? I ain't got the words...crazies I guess who want to make it hard on others simply trying to live their lives.
Just carry a pump...

Deflating tires is extremely dangerous.

Some people will not notice the deflated tires and will crash.

This is sabotaging somebody’s car like cutting break lines.

If you read the leaflet they leave on disabled vehicles, you will see that they also hate electrics and hybrids because they pollute and cause congestion.

This is what I though of when I read the other post about the stem. Deflating 4 tires by using wire cutters or cutter pliers takes less than minute. And the culprit is gone.

And the only remedy is a flat bed tow truck.
