Mob Story: The Vice President [Lyndon B. Johnson]
AmericanMafia.com ^ | July 2002 | John William Tuohy

Bobby Baker of Pickens, South Carolina, started his career in Washington as a Senate Page in 1942... [A]t age 34, he was personnel secretary to the Majority leader and was a major power on Capitol Hill and was known... as the 101st Senator of the United States.

Starting in the 1950s, Baker became Johnson's protege, or "Little Lyndon" as he was sarcastically called...

By 1960, Bobby Baker was the man to see on Capitol Hill... He was also a millionaire, an odd circumstance for a man who was born into humble surroundings and never worked outside government...

When the Bobby Baker scandal erupted, J. Edgar Hoover told Bobby Kennedy about Rometsch and her ties to not only Baker but the Soviets and within hours, Rometsch and her husband were deported back to Europe.

...one day in Chicago, in April 1963, Jimmy Hoffa was playing cards in his hotel room with Joey Glimco and their lawyers, when Hoffa asked what would happen if something were to happen to Bobby, or "Boo-bee" as he called him, Kennedy. The group responded that John Kennedy would "be so pissed off he would probably replace him with somebody who is a bigger son of bitch then Bobby is."

After a short silence, Hoffa asked, "But what would happen if something happened to John Kennedy?" and the answer was, "Lyndon Johnson would become President and replace 'Boo-bee' as his first act."

In 1965, the FBI had placed a bug on Bobby Baker and those bugs were picking up things that LBJ figured the American people didn't need to know, so, on July 11, 1965, President Lyndon Johnson ordered all of the illegal wiretaps planted by the FBI, including every bug planted against the mob, to be shut down.

In the jungles of the Pacific during WWII, the Japanese Soldiers would yell at the American Soldiers that America was run by mobsters.

“In the jungles of the Pacific during WWII, the Japanese Soldiers would yell at the American Soldiers that America was run by mobsters”

The Americans would yell back, “maybe so, but you’re ruled by a short, narcissistic egomaniac who thinks he’s god. Plus he smells bad.”

My favorite conspiracy theory is the mob was ultimately behind the assassination. Two key facts. The mob got Kennedy elected by getting him Illinois but he double crossed them by siccing Bobby on them. The other is Jack Ruby, who was mobbed up, murdered Oswald before he talked. Everybody needs a theory, right?

Makes one wonder if any Secret Service men assigned to LBJ are still alive.

If so, they might be able to tell the world some interesting stuff about LBJ.

A giant secret of WWII and American presidents is that LBJ was awarded the Silver Star for combat heroism.

LBJ’s Silver Star is never mentioned nor is any award ever named for what is widely taught to and believed by the public to be JFK’s heroism in combat.

Imagine what todays politicians are involved with.

Nancy Carole Tyler and her roommate Mary Jo Kopechne both killed. They knew too much.
Bobby Bakers son dies in a car accident, maybe as a warning.

Thanks for posting. I learned a lot. I was born in 1953 and remember these names in the headlines, but I was in elementary school and didn’t care about it. It’s astonishing to read how corrupt and salacious our govt representatives were then...and depressing to realize nothing has changed.

Yeah, that's rich, huh? Kanji Ishiwara was the primary mover of the Japanese conquest of Manchuria (born out of a false flag op), but later turned against Tojo over the next false flag operation that started the long war of attrition with China, which Ishiwara was sure could not be won. He was forced into retirement (a threat of assassination will do that to a guy) to a country estate and died before 1950. Tojo and his fellow gangsters were tried, found guilty, executed, cremated, and the ashes dumped into the Pacific to prevent a shrine at their graves. There is, or was, a very good documentary on YT, I just can't find it.
