The latest subvariant of the novel coronavirus to become dominant in Europe, the United States, and other places is also, in many ways, the worst so far.
The BA.5 subvariant of the basic Omicron variant appears to be more contagious than any previous form of the virus. It’s apparently better at dodging our antibodies, too - meaning it might be more likely to cause breakthrough and repeat infections.
Vaccines and boosters are still the best defense. There are even Omicron-specific booster jabs in development that, in coming months, could make the best vaccines more effective against BA.5 and its genetic cousins.
Still, BA.5’s ongoing romp across half the planet is a strong reminder that the COVID pandemic isn’t over. “We’re not done yet, by any stretch,” Eric Topol, founder and director of the Scripps Research Translational Institute in California, wrote on his Substack.
High levels of at least partial immunity from vaccines and past infection continue to prevent the worst outcomes—mass hospitalization and death. But globally, raw case numbers are surging, with serious implications for potentially millions of people who face a growing risk of long-term illness.
How COVID Could Screw You Worse With Each Reinfection
Equally worrying, the latest wave of infections is giving the coronavirus the time and space it needs to mutate into even more dangerous variants and subvariants. “The development of variants now is a freight train,” Irwin Redlener, the founding director of Columbia University’s National Center for Disaster Preparedness, told The Daily Beast.
In other words, unstoppable.

So stay home. If you must go out, wear a mask if you want but more importantly wash/sanitize your hands frequently and don’t touch door knobs or other common areas without using hand sanitizer afterwards. Take vitamins like C, D, B complex & K, and supplements like zinc, quercetin, turmeric & nigella sativa. Get ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine if you can. If you get covid anyway, like I did, then it’s truly up to God if you live or die. Living in fear and isolation isn’t the answer, and neither is the vaccine.
There was never a surge. The hospitals were empty. Nurses making dancing videos out of boredom. The whole thing was a fraud.
I am waiting for the ‘FJB’ variant. It will be the death knell to all present and future variants because just like it’s name sake it just can’t help S#!TING and screwing up it’s own house!
Daily Beast and Yahoo?
Bwahahahahahahahahahahah!
Of course.

Funny. This was the very problem Dr. Geert Vanden Bossche predicted. That mass indiscriminate vaccination during the pandemic would drive the spread of mutations.

Contradictory Bull Crap.
Did you take anything for it (vitamins, supplements, etc)? Or just ride it out?

Getting close to mid terms. Eh?
Yeah, okay.
Beastiality. Lucifer’s lovin it.

Actually, didn’t Biden predict it?
Now, because the vaccines target the engineered spike protein, in order to escape the vaccine-induced antibodies those forms of Covid that have mutated the spike protein substantially are going to be the ones that escape immune surveillance and thus the ones that will survive and propagate at higher rates. These mutations make the virus more infectious and allow it to infect vaccinated people, but at the same time these mutations lead to a reduced repertoire of different cell types they can bind to, and thus reduces the range of tissues and organs that the virus can infect.
This is fundamental virology. It doesn't always work this way, but my bet is on this being the case.
Is your vitamin d level between 60-80? If not, yes, you could die from covid. And if your doc is not checking your D level, he’s worthless.
Fool me once...
What Bunk, more boosters will make it even worse. It’s always going to be another variant , there are now more than 2000 if not 4000, take your pick, it isn’t ever going away.
