Last year, the New York City Council passed legislation that allows non-citizens who have lived in the city for at least 30 days and are legal permanent residents in the U.S. to vote in city elections for mayor, public advocate, the borough president, and city council. The law also applies to green card holders, individuals with workers' permits, and DACA recipients.
The law was set to go into effect on January 2023.
Fortunately, a group affiliated with the Republican National Committee filed a lawsuit challenging the legislation.
More than 800,000 non-citizens would have become eligible for voting rights if this new law had taken effect.
The lawsuit also stated that "by dramatically increasing the pool of eligible voters, the Non-Citizen Voting Law will dilute the votes of United States citizens, including the plaintiffs in this action.”
New York’s State Supreme Court Justice Ralph Porzio, based in Staten Island, struck down the legislation in a ruling calling it illegal and stating that it violates the state constitution, which only provides for citizens to vote.

There’s quite a bit of stuff the left is doing that is illegal and unconstitutional. Then instead of accepting the court ruling, they defy it and call it illegitimate, threaten the court, threaten the lives of the judges. You’ll never hear that from the MSM, except only when republicans do it. The hypocrisy of January 6 committee is just glaring.
On the surface, this only affects local elections. But the real problem is that those people will end up voting in ALL elections, with helpful democRat apparatchiks there to guide them.
This needs to be stomped down wherever it springs up. And “motor voter” also needs to go.

The DemocRats have already handed out millions of voter registration cards to non-citizens and they will not check to make sure they are legally able to vote AND they don’t do voter ID.
New York State will just change it’s Constitution
Legal or not, Democrats are going to have them vote, and they’re going to tell them how to vote if they know what’s good for them.

No chance that anyone will check to see if these voter reg cards are allowable, and will let them vote in any and all elections.
