An elephant never forgets. Apparently they never forgive either.

She did something to that elephant or members of the elephants group, to provoke these two specific reactions against her.
Don’t want this to happen to you, don’t do stuff to elephants.

Forgive for what?
And how’d it know she was getting buried that day?

I am going to go out on a trunk and say that India Karen seriously pissed off Elephant.
The Elephant could not forget, or forgive because death was not good enough.

This is India.
They largely let animals roam. Remember reincarnation, some people come back as animals, or lower forms die and rise up into animals.

Noahic Covenant: “And for your lifeblood I will surely demand an accounting. I will demand an accounting from every animal. And from each human being, too, I will demand an accounting for the life of another human being.”
“Whoever sheds human blood,
by humans shall their blood be shed;
for in the image of God
has God made mankind.” (Gen. 9:5,6)
This very ancient law....is why we kill animals who’ve killed human beings, and of course, why we have the Death Penalty for murder.

There’s an Indian Country-Western song in here somewhere, with a killer sitar solo.

In previous incarnation as a human, the elephant, once a human, may have had her
boyfriend stolen by the now dead human woman.
To: 21twelve
The elephant looks down and says “ dang. Wrong woman. My bad.” Then it tried to sneak away as best as elephant could.

But don't forget elephants are "Gentle Giants" that would absolutely never damage anything.

As someone else posted, the woman probably did something to offend the elephant - or maybe she resembled someone who had done.
This behavior is too specific for it to simply be a rogue elephant (if the story is true at all.)

Some don’t even want to kill a flea, in case grand pa Adityavardhana had reincarnated into one.
