Joanna Jones, 39, was flying to London from Antigua when her 14-year-old daughter Poppy needed oxygen and two EpiPen shots during the nightmare eight-hour flight after suffering a severe reaction to the nuts.
As Poppy's condition worsened, a quick-thinking nurse on board dashed to help - while the captain considered making an emergency landing.
Eventually the pilot landed the plane safely at Gatwick and Poppy was rushed to hospital.
Speaking exclusively to MailOnline, Joanna said: ’It was a nightmare for all of us and I really thought she might die.

Over my life, I have known quite a few people who would fake ailments to get what they want, including allergy disorders.
I've known people who pretended to have heart attacks, PTSD seizures, allergies to different foods, Lupus, and perhaps several other ailments which I have now forgotten.
I also had a good friend who got out of jail so I treated him to dinner at Red Lobster. Neither he nor I knew he had a shellfish allergy and he ended up in the emergency room that night.
He said "It was really good, but i'm not doing that again." :)
There’s no indication that the Mom intended to sue the airline, or even had any resentment toward them.
Maybe she could make the peanut jerk pay for the Epi, though. Those things are expensive. I have a friend who has to carry them around.
While Carter may have been president at the time that fundamental Islamic terrorism began, he can hardly be blamed for the complete impact it has had today.
Besides the 50,000 dead Americans on Johnson’s watch, we are still counting off the trillions of dollars wasted as a result of the Great Society.
This is what I hammered into my kids while teaching them to drive. I tell them not to ever trust other drivers, and don't go through a stop sign intersection unless you can see the cross traffic driver looking at you. I've had plenty of people pull out in front of me without looking.
Good Advice: "Drive Paranoid."
I think you mean Washington Carver.
OOPS
Unlike yourself, I know what I am talking about.
Have you flown lately? Have you flown with someone who has perfume on? BO? Scents will waft quite a ways through the cabin. Even the application of nail polish is banned (at least with my company) because the smell will travel quite a ways.
Unless you are a doctor, take a seat and mind your own business.
Get real.
You can’t afford to fly.
Maybe not but that doesn't mean it isn't so.
Just look at all the things our Qtard brethren
believe that aren't so. Those things are plenty
real to THEM and might come true. Maybe. Some day.
I figure this little twist and her Lawsuit blogger mom
are angling for a big payoff. And attention.
Apparently there’s the mentality that only the healthy and whole are entitled to live a life to the fullest.
Those already dealing with issues that complicate their lives are further marginalized all in the name of selfish, two year old temper tantrums demanding their “rights”.
So are YOU a doctor, miss Air Waitress? No?
Well then, chop chop fetch me a fresh beer and some peanuts and let's have less chatter.
So do you believe that only the healthy and whole are entitled to live a full life?
Whatever happened to Matthew 5? And if you do it to the least of these my brothers, you do it to me?
Is a little common courtesy that much of an imposition on you that an accommodation cannot be made for some less fortunate than you?
Well, you can’t be all bad if you have an antipathy toward Q.
(But you’re still a boor.)
Very and apparently he’s not alone.
Mom swore it was all the military's fault poisoning dad, but he wasn't really exposed to Agent Orange and it never explained why my twin didn't have it. It made her feel better to have somebody to blame.
They did.
Air crew, not the pilot. And for some reason they didn't see fit to do anything about it like take his bag of peanuts away. Hard to see them as taking it seriously if they allowed him to continue as they did.
At a minimum, I hope the girl’s parents sue him for the medical bills. He should have been arrested.
I think her mother bears more blame for putting the girl into a dangerous situation. They have an identifiable "perpetrator", but they could have easily had peanut residue in her seat or tray, other passengers could have peanut residue on their lips or clothes, there could have been peanut residue on the floor.
If someone has a deadly allergy such that the odor or "dust" of a peanut will kill them, they are being reckless to put the girl in a situation where she might encounter peanut exposure. At the very least she should have been wearing an N95 mask.
Are you really arguing that he shouldn’t have put away the peanuts?
No, that's just you trying to fit me into your strawman argument. I am arguing that the person who has the primary responsibility for exposing the girl to danger is her mother, not some guy 10 rows down.
It's inevitable that people will get accidentally exposed to some peanut material, but the odds go up greatly when you are in a confined space with lots of other people, especially when you can buy peanuts at the airport.
I also suspect the mother and the girl were likely putting on a big show, and that the girl was never really in danger at all, but if she was, it is on the mother's head for being so stupid as to take the risk of boarding a plane where it was likely to encounter peanuts.
“I see the peanut guy as the selfish one. Others might see the mom as the selfish one.”
Both knew peanuts typically are served on planes. His expectation was to eat peanuts that typically are served on planes. Her expectation was that 300 people should cater to her wants and desires, gambling with her child’s life.
I reject your premise. I am arguing that *IF* this girl's condition is so dire, her *MOTHER* is at fault for putting her in this situation.
If not a guy with peanuts 10 rows down, it's left over peanut crumbs in her seat, her tray, on the floor, on people's clothes, etc.
Very foolish of the mother to expose such a sensitive child to a potential risk. And with no N95 Mask? Those are relatively cheap compared to the child's life.
Do you not think a child's life is worth the cost of a stupid mask?
