Could a GOP House and Senate Save the Democrats in 2024?

Posted on 06/06/2022 7:14:47 AM PDT by DIRTYSECRET

Just asking.

It worked for B.J. Clinton was a better politician who could keep the whackos in check just long enough to play the long game. Today's rats are just that and open about it.

Media knew about Juanita Broadrick being RAPED by Bill Clinton during the 92 campaign, as well as the drug abuse and other things with Bill Clinton and covered it all up...

The only thing that will save Dems in 2024 is fraud, just like it did in 2020.. nothing else is going to.

16 months in control and they have destroyed EVERYTHING THEY HAVE TOUCHED...

Democrats have marched off a cliff...

Now yes 2.5 years is a long time in politics... but lets be real...

Do you think Biden (the dementia puppet) or more importantly his handlers are going to suddenly get competent in the next 2.5 years?

Short of some black swan event, real or invented, the likelihood of some democrat “comeback” in 2024 is not likely.

Is it possible that when GOP take the house and senate they overplay their hand? Perhaps, but I wouldn’t bet on it, if GOP actually every pushed their advantage when they had it, the nation wouldn’t be where it is today.

McConnel can’t wait to deposit a huge pile of feces on the GOP base.

Absolutely.

The only thing the people hate worse than Democrats is Republicans.

Since both parties are locked in against doing anything to benefit our people, if the GOP takes over Congress and does nothing to reverse the disastrous economic policies both parties adore equally, then the Democrats will be in a good place for 2024.

It is a feature of our captive political system that both parties, in power, are guaranteed to fail. The masters of the system remain in place using sophisticated techniques to get real Americans hating each other instead of finding the masters and getting rid of them.

Maybe, but probably not

The truth is that Republican control will not produce much real change. There is the Biden veto. America will be run by executive orders and the courts

Since there is no real senate capable of passing anything with 60 votes, the Democrats can’t pass anything now.

The House pretends to be relevant by passing special interest bills that are just dressed up press releases.

It will be possible for Republicans to pass very carefully crafted money legislation to curtail some programs. Maybe

Until one party or the other can have a solid 60 vote Senate majority, nothing much is going to change

Grid lock........ the market’s favorite condition

I will give the media a plausible villain to blame for the impending economic crash. Otherwise, they have to keep trying to blame Trump, but fewer and fewer will fall for that.

The whole theater of the past decade seems to be about McConnell and the leadership trying to get out of power as much as possible before the collapse happens, and Trump was screwing that plan up.

It didn't hurt the Democrats in 2010. Considering the GOP has no plans for doing anything if they retake the House and Senate then it's hard to see anything harmful they can do.

Clinton moved perceptibly to the right after that - if only slightly. Biden and his puppeteers won’t do that. They will triple/quadruple down and blame it on the new Congress...

The ruling class has been operating outside the constitution since stealing the election, which was done by exploiting weak election laws. Restoring the old America requires fixing both, for example, and end to free speech infringement under the guise of “wokeism”, and federalizing election laws to the extent that no state can cheat - such as a national voter registration system that is as rigorous as the income tax system. Who will stand up and do these things?

Agree. If the Dems win in 2024, they will do it the old fashioned way, steal it. Everyone knows that Biden won’t run in 2024, if he makes it that far. His long-time Chief of Staff, Ron Klain, is rumored to be leaving after the midterms. The rats will be jumping off the ship to get jobs in the private sector before the end of the regime.

The MSM and Dems are pushing the meme of Biden running for reelection to disguise the reality of a lame duck President, which he will become anyway if the Reps take the House in 2023. The Biden Green New Deal agenda is over.

The Reps must go for the jugular starting in 2023 thru a series of investigations into the many Biden scandals, public and personal. If they play their cards right, the Dem party could be hobbled for a generation.

Answer: Maybe. The key will be how successful will be the Biden admin and the press at painting a GOP-majority Congress with the nation’s continuing problems. The GOP would benefit itself by, in rapid succession, impeaching Biden and immediately thereafter Harris, which could make the speaker of the House the president.

Frankly I’d like to see the House appoint Trump as Speaker (legally possible) and Trump to immediately back DeSantis for President in 2024.

2024! The GOP is rushing headlong into defeat in 2022. Cheney calls MAGA voters a problem for the GOP, McCarthy as Speaker is totally unappealing to conservatives and now the GOP looking more like folding on gun control and supporting Rad Flag laws. Oz is another Romney or Graham and Murkowski is cursing into re-election. Give me one damn good reason to vote for any GOP candidate when they are no better than the RATS. McConnell gives Schumer everything he wants and then try's to divert attention by blaming Trump for some BS. My “conservative” Rep voted for $40 Billion to Ukraine and the database of the unvaccinated. Yes, they called it a vaccine database, but everyone knows it's true purpose. What I really want is total gridlock. That and to hear the death rattle of the GOP as conservatives abandon it for better candidates.

“The only thing Biden and Clinton have in common is their profiting off their offices and being corrupt.”

They both like underaged girls. Bill likes teens, Joe pre-teens.

“Let the investigations begin in 2023.”

Like Whitewater? Like Vince Foster? Like the IRS? Like the Obama birth certificate?

Do you think they will really investigate the house leadership response to Jan 6th? The IRS?

I advanced this question some time ago but in the context of the Republicans assuming control of Congress in a rapidly and seriously deteriorating economic situation. If the Democrats can pin responsibility for failing to fix that situation on the Republican party in control of Congress, they might survive in 2024.

I anticipate that we will see increased inflation, recession even serious recession, accompanied of course by joblessness and stagflation. In order to cure this life-threatening cancer, the medicine is nearly as unpleasant as chemotherapy. We might well be reduced to a Hobson's choice of what kind of pain we choose to inflict on ourselves to get out of this mess.

We can either crank up interest rates as did chairman Voelker to 20% raising the prime rate to over 20%, or we can decline to do so and suffer the ravages of inflation. One way or the other, we will be in pain.

It is at this point that the Democrats will blame Republicans for inflicting the pain and the media, as usual, will play the amen chorus.

Bill Clinton triangulated. He cut capital gains taxes and that kept the economy rolling.

There is no chance Clinton could get elected governing as he did in the Democrat party today.

Biden is a puppet of the far-left and is incapable of doing anything to stop inflation or turn the economy around.
