We have been struck by another tragedy this week in Texas. The cries go up, “Something must be done!” And indeed, it must. If we do not take active measures to stop this killing, the momentum will continue. Copycat actors will duplicate previous shootings, as we have seen since Columbine.
While some factions of the country will attempt to advance a political agenda, others will go about securing the most vulnerable places in our society. What if there was a model we could use to end the carnage? There is.
In several school districts across the country, a program called “F.A.S.T.E.R” exists. You can read about it at fastersaveslives.org. It stands for Faculty and Administrator Safety Training and Emergency Response. It is a program, taught by the most highly qualified police officers and trainers to willing and qualified school administrators, staff, and educators, to equip them with the tools and skill set to save lives in the event of an active killer amongst them.
The program teaches only volunteers who are qualified how to neutralize the threat, and then just as importantly, the lifesaving first aid for gunshot trauma and the tourniquets and chest seal patches to get the victims to the ER with a pulse. Did you know that 90% of shooting victims who make it to the ER with a pulse survive?
The “F.A.S.T.E.R” program is taught through the AzCDL Foundation, a 501© 3 non-profit. All a school district has to do is green light the project. AzCDL Foundation will train the staff to do the rest. In addition, the program teaches those responders how to communicate with arriving police, so it doesn’t create new problems, too.

Frigging Democrat concept of “Gun free zones” is the problem.
Get rid of those policies and we would not have to “militarize” the government schools.
We could spend $1500 and get doors that close and lock.
I'm not a biologist, but that right there seems like a good starting point.
Good effort.
Every law abiding citizen should be issued a concealable firearm and trained in how to use it. I like it when liberals’ eyes go wide when I say that, but the latest shooter wouldn’t dare attempt what he did if not for the gun free zones. But if he did, he would have been taken out in the first few seconds instead of an hour and a half.
What idiot decided that sticking “active” in the sentence made it more weighty?
This one is about the Faster Program which will work some but has two very bad problems that stop it.
First, I’m willing to bet that there isn’t a 100 schools (boards) that will allow an armed instructor on campus. It’s hard enough getting a police officer stationed in the school as it is. So what is taking place here is arming a little trained volunteer with good intentions and a whole lot less training to handle an active shooter without going through him/her or missing him/her entirely striking a child. And as two of the three persons effected here are student or teacher, then the odds at getting the wish accomplished is against them. And if the teacher goes after the gun, or even looks like they might be, they will be dead immediately. You might as well arm the students as well so someone can cap him from where he isn’t looking.
Secondly, Then we will hear from CNN about gun removal this time eliminating any gun from the campus. That’s what this is leading up to. And it’s a step into the removal of civilian owned guns.
They already have enough legislation in the works and they can add more, but it will accomplish nothing without infringing gun ownership. And that’s the real intent.

1. Shoot him.
2. Shoot him again.
3. Repeat as necessary.
Getting all high and mighty, eh? Fresh fruit not good enough for you, eh? Well, let me tell you something, my lad! When you’re walking home tonight and some great homicidal maniac comes after YOU with a bunch of loganberries, don’t come cryin’ to me!
Until the citizens are completely disarmed, the demon raqts will continue to exploit these events without actually doing anything to truly take away the murderers advantage. Demicrats do not care how many children are slaughtered if it promotes their agenda. They proved that repeatedly with their embrace of abortion slaughter on demand.
Two to the chest and one to the head.
Maybe start by locking the damn door, so any random homeless bum, chomo, shooter, dope dealer, or Biden can’t just shuffle on in and f**k with the kids? Just start with something simple. Something just about every office workplace does. Lock the door.
If you can find it, the best part, in my opinion, is not found in every version—the lines:
“You shot him dead”
But he was attacking me with a banana.
“Look...look, smarty pants, the sixteen-ton weight is just one way of dealing with the raspberry killer. There are millions of others!”
