Some analysis showed ORYX was capturing around 80% of RuZZian tank losses. That would been nearly 900 kills. So "nearly" 1000 is possible.

Like the old joke about lawyers at the bottom of the sea, this sounds like a good start on reducing Russia’s bully approach to foreign affairs.

Pentagon estimates haven’t been reliable since Vietnam.

Yeah, the Pentagon, bastion of truth. Such a good track record.

Hey Pentagon, when’s the last war you morons won? Sit down.

I’ve seen some conservative estimates that say the Russians are spending about a billion per day. I don’t recall what their gas sales were to Europe, but they exceeded that. Still, it’s a lot of stuff they can’t easily replace while the embargo is in force. Take apart analysis says their stuff is full of components bought from the West. Apparently, their only tank manufacturer has shut down due to sanctions.

Here's the problem: the Russians did not enforce air superiority during the operation. If you look at World War II, the very fact the Americans and British on the Western Front and the Russians on the Eastern Front were able to command air superiority was why American, British/Canadian and Russian tank forces could take out the German Panzer forces.

As such, the Ukrainians were able to use UAV's to find and take out armored vehicle targets easily. Why weren't there large-scale shootdowns of UAV's to make it harder for the Ukrainians to operate?

Real Americans are moving on, so give it a rest, as we know America is broke, 30 trillion plus in debt, tired of funding wars, we know the MIC is a slush fund, time for Europe to grow up and handle their own back yard, and we know that Putin won’t attack the NATO countries bordering Ukraine.

Yep, real Americans are moving on:

So then we don’t need to dump another $40B into Ukraine, right?

Reports today have indicated the first spotting of T-62M tanks in Ukraine. So we will soon have data on how many of the supposed 10,000 mothballed tanks are operational and how they will fare on the modern battlefield (prediction: not well). Some of these old tanks are stored outside in the harsh winter weather of Russia.
