I don't trust him at all. Left congress mid-term to work for Fox. No call for that as special elections are not cheap. Women will vote for his pretty face and Utah voters are funny to put it politely.
His dad was previously married to guess who? Kitty Dukakis. Her first son(half-brother John Chaffetz Jr.) changed his name to Dukakis and went to work for step-dad Michaels' Presidential campaign(1988). Big brother John is an out-of-work actor who also worked for John Kerry.
Jason Chaffetz might not have to challenge Romney. Mittens will be 77 in '24. He's a career executive who somehow wanted to be only one of 100 legislators. His accomplishment is turning off the conservatives.
Why do I bring this up? Just look at what Pennsylvania primary voters are faced with this Tuesday. Carpet bagger vs. unvetted vs. China lover. No bench development.
2025 Chaffetz becoming a senator. I would only be ok with a Sen. Chaffetz if he was one of 55+ GOP senators. Imagine him in Mancin's position at 50-50. I think of Utah conservatives as much as I think of those in the Pennsylvania primary.
Go figure.
Leaving Congress in the middle of a term is sketchy. My guess is someone was about to drop dirt on him and he bailed out to avoid embarrassment.
So his step mother before, he was born…….was Kitty Dukakis who was married to his dad for four years? A really great reason to not vote for Jason (Sarc) because all people love their stepmothers. Jason has been a solid conservative as far as I am concerned and a Republican since 1990.
Sean Reyes has 6 kids? My goodness! Perhaps he should stay home. Run for Gov. perhaps. The Senate is more important btw. There’s always SCOTUS. The newest has 7(kids that is).
My family split after the 2020 elections - we don’t talk anymore or get together for any occasions including Christmas and Easter.
No matter how bad it gets under Brain Dead Biden my far left relatives will always vote for a Democrat.
I hope not. Chaffetz was a chameleon and will be a miniMinion of elected.
Was Brigham Young? LDS has an interesting history.
Chaffetz, at least, has a decent legislative track record. While imperfect, he would be way better than Mitt the $#*+. But, then again, so would a soggy hot dog bun.
“They stopped talking to me when I pointed out the ridiculousness of their beliefs. Proving it with actual facts. They didn’t stop believing, They just stop talking to me.”
Changing someone’s beliefs (world view) is one of the most difficult undertaking there is.

Haha! Thanks for the chuckle
What is the point of this? Do you live in Utah?
See above. This is a done deal. The Utah GOP already knows they cannot protect Romney from the voters. Sean Reyes, who has already announced to primary him, is long term Atty General, devout LDS and he’s a done deal.
Reyes is very strong and Romney likely will retire rather than face that humiliation.
Chaffetz versus Romney. There has to be a joke somewhere.
A Mormon and a Jew walked into a bar...
*What is the point of this? Do you live in Utah?*
Oh come on! I don’t live in Pennsylvania either. Senate terms are 6 years-ok?
