Such a shame. Denver used to be a wonderful and historic city. Then they let Californians in. Then they legalized pot. Then they elected crooked Democrats through mail ballots. I used to love the place. Still do love Colorado.

Yes, it was. Lower Downtown (LoDo, to the locals) was a great rejuvenation in 1990’s of Heroine Row, and a great example of entrepreneurial spirit. Liberalism, primarily from California, Chicago, and Texas, has made a mess of Colorado. I lived in Denver since 1984, minus a few years overseas, and we just moved to Florida this past Winter.
The whole country of United States of America was a wonderful place when I arrived as a graduate student in engineering in 1960. I was enrolled in University of Iowa, and in spite of the brutal winters there, I loved the place. There were no long hair, torn jeans, unshaved faces or drug addicts in university. OK so we drank beers on weekends. Later came Vietnam war and it was the beginning of the demise.
My kids live there. I used to love that place, Colorado, more than Denver. The left is ruining the place like they do everywhere they settle.
Denver, boulder and commierado state legislature keep pushing more and more anti ccw laws. We used to take light rail to stmphonors and ballgames but no more. Symphony banned guns “to protect their customers.” Really to cover their ass. It is more dangerous walking to and from light rail than inside the concert hall. Not suppose to carry on light rail. I think most of us ignore that.
They want to ban ccw in parks.
The left destroys everything it touches.
It was great when I was raised there
It also used to be a very safe big city. That all changed when Democrats took over about 15 years ago. ALL of this is on them.
My daughter moved there in summer of 2016, wife and I visited that fall. It was after vote to legalize pot but it wasn’t in effect yet. I said they’d be sorry. I was right. I’m not a city guy but it was nice. Clean, quiet, friendly people, many construction cranes. Very few street people. Each year when I’ve been back the deterioration is obvious. It’s well on its way to becoming a third world $hithole.

I lived on the west side of Denver in the late 70’s, It was a great place to live at the time. I used to go downtown for dinner on a regular basis, the city was relatively clean and safe in those days.
Denver became a democrat hellhole... All of us living in Red States need to put out the word: democrats aren't welcome.
I was briefly stationed at Pete Field in Colorado Springs in 1971.....had to opportunity to go back 30 years later and immediately wished I hadn’t. The Springs, Denver and most other cities in CO used to be great....then the influx.......
I noticed many yrs ago that many Denver houses had bars on the windows...
