A nationwide shortage in baby formula is worsening, according to a new analysis, as parents have expressed alarm over the worrying trend.
At retail locations across the United States, about 40 percent of the top-selling infant formula products were not in stock for the week ending April 24, said Datasembly. The company said that it tracked baby formula stock at more than 11,000 stores nationwide.
“This is a shocking number that you don’t see for other categories,” Ben Reich, CEO of Datasembly, told CBS News. “We’ve been tracking it over time and it’s going up dramatically. We see this category is being affected by economic conditions more dramatically than others,” Reich added.
Previously, drugstore chains like Walgreens and CVS have announced they would limit how many baby formula products each shopper can purchase at a given time.

There are mothers on Facebook who are asking for specific baby formulas because they can’t find them anywhere.
My wife tried to breastfeed but couldn’t produce enough milk. It happens.
Also working moms may not have job where they can pump.
A mixer and some raw fruits and vegetables works just. Grind the fruits and veggies to make a smooth puree. Baby will love it.

The year before I retired, the company installed a breast pumping room.
One of our ‘quality’ employees was found pleasuring himself in it. I don’t think it was ever used for its purpose.
Small, expensive items are easily shoplifted. The thieves then return the items for in-store credit. Big box stores like Home Depot and Lowes are often targets. But in those cases they get a voucher for in-store credit and then try to sell the voucher for a steep discount on Facebook.
#22 and #33 have a couple of formulas. #22 is a basic one, #33 is upscale.
Is that the percentage produced in China?
Perhaps mothers can go to Hong Kong like those in China do.
Babies aren’t nourished by silicone alone.

Yes you can make your own with Carnation milk and dark karo. I used it on my 3 sons, one of my sons has used it for his 3 kids. Easy and a whole lot cheaper than formula and all of their additives

you pump the night before or over the weekend and can refrigerate it. My wife did this for over a year for our twins while working full time.
