Grammy-award winning artist Naomi Judd of The Judds has died at 76.
Judd's daughters announced her death in a statement on Saturday to the Associated Press.
"Today we sisters experienced a tragedy. We lost our beautiful mother to the disease of mental illness," the statement said. "We are shattered. We are navigating profound grief and know that as we loved her, she was loved by her public. We are in unknown territory."

This is very sad to hear.
I remember growing up and thinking the Judds were just the name of the group. Did not know it was a Mother-Daughter duo. The two look like sisters.
Strange part is rich people are depressed much more often than poor people in poor countries who struggle every day just to get food.
I suppose the idea of the award tomorrow and going out on tour was just too much for her.
She might have had something worse and was just never diagnosed properly.
And at her age, she might have been dealing with physical issues as well.
