It pisses me off that mental illness was mentioned. Why not just let her go without personal details? Is that what they wanted folks to remember the mother by? Was it a last “stick it” to the mom by Wynonna?
especially right before an award. maybe they wanted to do it for mental health awareness..but yeah..it seems kind of cruel
but naomi was pretty vocal about her illness. maybe her electroshock therapy was a lot better than that you see in the movies

CBS reported it as a suicide, then went back and scrubbed it, stating only “mental illness.”
Your stupidity in ignoring the vicious effects covid disease has caused so many Americans is beyond the pail. A personal family friend of ours, 25 years old and avid mountain hiker was hit by covid, and now she can barely walk 100 steps without sitting down. Covid has destroyed her heart.
And then there are hundreds of thousands of Americans dead and maimed by covid. Thank goodness PDJT has more common sense than people like you and he was intelligent enough to announce his booster shots.
You may be right. I never knew anyone personally with such imbalance, so I just do not know much about chemical imbalance.

My mom did just that. She was 53. OD’d on sleeping pills and wine. Didn’t leave a note. But the signs were there.
A week before, she bought a new dress. Way out of character. Got her hair done as well as her nails. She never spent money on her nails. Bought a ton of groceries so that my dad wouldn’t have to. Paid bills in advance. She was preparing to take her life and we didn’t notice the strange behavior.
It devastated my dad because he had spent so many years trying to make her life happy.
Funeral was awkward.
Still speculation, but not the health issue I was thinking either.

An additional statement from Naomi’s husband of 32 years, Larry Strickland, reads: “Naomi Judd’s family request privacy during this heartbreaking time. No additional information will be released at this time.”
Very sad to hear of this. Not many musicians seem to make it past their mid-70’s.
