Willy Joseph Cancel— U.S., age 22 Former US Marine had wife and 7 month old baby in TN.
Scott Sibley- U.K., age 36, a former British soldier who had served in Afghanistan. A second unnamed U.K. Merc is missing. (two other Brits were captured in Mariupol earlier but were part of a regular Ukraine unit)
"Ukrainian Embassy in Denmark confirms that a 25 year old Danish citizen has been killed in Ukraine, reportedly fighting Russian forces as part of the International Legion."
Note that the reports of all their deaths are within past 24 hours, but they died some days earlier.
There are reports of recent dead Korean mercenaries look highly unreliable, speculative, rumor -- big chance they're wrong

CANNON FODDER.
Also earlier in the week I shared a story about 2 wounded Americans

The Marine left his wife and baby to fight a war that has nothing to do with the US.
Terrible story.
RIP to him, and thoughts for his wife.
Yep. Very misguided to volunteer to die in a stupid war.
I think bungee jumpers are insane too.
And Saint Zelensky will NOT be providing his wife and kid survivor’s benefits.
All of the pro-Uke jingoism on Twitter, Reddit, and YT no doubt was an encouragement. “Influencers” have some responsibility for this impressionable young man’s death.
“Willy Joseph Cancel— U.S., age 22 Former US Marine”
We had another ‘former Marine’ who was 20 years old recently get killed or captured there.
Interesting...does the US military have some type of secret ‘revolving door’ where they ‘discharge’ people to make them civilians (mercenaries) to go fight undeclared wars, and then bring them back in?
Given that it’s a mainstream media source, I wonder about the headline. Not every foreign volunteer in an army is a mercenary. For example, no one would categorize members of the French Foreign Legion as mercenaries.
I guess it all comes down to motivation. These Ukrainian “International Legion” guys, are they there for the money for some higher reason?

Last sentence in my post #12 should read:
These Ukrainian “International Legion” guys, are they there for the money or for some higher reason?
That right there is profound...
I sure wish a pack of marines would get upset enough to do something about our own southern border.. THAT would be SO COOL.!!
Interesting to note that no one every goes off and just fights other wars - except Ukraine.
I think he was supposedly an Army Ranger, but I concede your point.
How one is a former Army Ranger at 20 is beyond me.
He must have received a discharge that was Medical, OTH, General, or Dishonorable.
I hope they had a good live insurance policy.
sorry the headline was my own, i adopted this from multiple sources
I hope they had a good life insurance policy.
