this story hacks me off. Maybe one of the billionaires who are carrying on about climate change could actually help a genius who really might make a difference in something some day.

Minnesota has a decent physics program but they need to look out of state.

And dye him brown.

Kid's so smart, let him figure it out.

How has he been able to withstand the woke and commie indoctrination? And if he’s a genius, maybe he can tell us why Rat/RINOs constantly demand free taxpayer funded tuition yet never ask why these Colleges price gouge it. Oh that’s right, paying these College Presidents millions of dollars like C.L. Max Nikias of the University of Southern Mexifornia $7 million a year is more important.

It seems to me that he could easily obtain something an AA in accounting and work as a part-time accountant while working through college.

Duh... Take out a student loan and then don’t pay it back. Everybody else is getting away with it.

Maybe contact Eon Musk or somebody.
He could work for a couple of years for him after getting his PhD.

This story is really suspect. Tuition is only $18K for the full year. a 13YO in his home town shouldn’t be living on campus and thus paying room and board. Plus they’ve got $3K+ of “personal” expenses in there, etc.

Lots of PhD programs include graduate assistant/undergrad teaching gigs that pay for tuition. If that is tied to the kid not getting a regular funding package, so be it. He should be able to take a course or two at a time and do independent research while he’s at it. Trying to break some sort of record in the age at which he is given a PhD proves and accomplishes nothing.

Can’t this kid go to work and Pau for his own PHD? No reason a 13 year old can’t do some work.

I’ve read many stories over the years about “little Einsteins” blasting through university at a wee age, but I don’t recall any since regarding about adult scientists or mathematicians of great renown who began as “little Einsteins”. Even Einstein didn’t start out as that sort of “little Einstein”.

Carl Gauss came close; his story seems truly exceptional.
