Yesterday, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy appeared on Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo.
During the interview, Bartiromo played a clip of Republican Congressman Greg Murphy saying that Biden has committed impeachable offenses but members of Congress are reluctant to impeach Biden because the next in line of power is Kamala Harris in whom few have confidence.
When Bartiromo followed up asking McCarthy if he was considering moving forward with impeachment (if they win a majority in the House during the mid-terms).
McCarthy responded as follows:
"Look the one thing we learned that the Democrats did, is they used impeachment for political reason. We believe in the rule of law. We're not going to pick and choose just because somebody has power," McCarthy said, adding that "at any time if someone breaks the law" impeachment may be considered "but we're not going to use it for political purposes."

Except his crimes are hardly a secret. They are actually a serious national security concern reflected in the articles of impeachment that have already been submitted. Although I do agree that members should not be coming out publicly for a vote before they even have the power.

Who needs political purposes? There is more than enough to impeach him on with just constitutional purposes. Southern border, allowing the free flow of narcotics into this nation. The destruction of oil independence. Stealing an election and then covering it up. Imprisonment of political prisoners. Using federal agencies for political enhancement, illegally. Not to mention out-n-out corruption via graft and treasonous acts against this nation in the process of enriching himself and his family, financially.
This is a man not to be endowed with such power that a Speaker of the House is entrusted with by the voters.
This is one of the many reasons Kevin McCarthy should not become Speaker of the House.
The Impeachment of Joe Biden will not be Political.It will be based on the Crimes he’s committed while he was the Vice President and during his present term as President.
Joe Biden has a lot to answer for and its time he’s held accountable for his actions.
Hopefully the results of the Impeachment are severe and not political makeup.
Whether Harris can also be brought down with him is actually a valid, and perhaps even more important, question. If she has signed off on any of the border illegalities it shouldn’t be difficult, and I’m not saying that just because Dems don’t want to see her as president either.
This is just McCarthy’s way of saying he no longer wants to be Speaker of the House, heck, he might even be saying he wants to retire from Congress. Let’s give him a little help. He’s clearly not bold enough to say so on his own!

Dems get to impeach Trump twice, for literally nothing. But, the GOP will not fight back, in kind.

Yes, but you don’t tell your enemy when and where you plan to bomb him. The most we should be saying is Impeachment is reserved for high crimes and misdemeanors and we will follow the rule of law. That way, when we move, it’s taken seriously instead of the farces that we perpetuated against Trump.
Every republican asked should merely state impeachment is a serious remedy that should only be used for high crimes and misdemeanors.
I’ll never understand the mindset of people who watch Sunday morning political shows to listen to the likes of McCarthy. It’s all stagecraft, mindless rot that damages society by failing to address our problems. McCarthy is a freak and pray to god everything he tries to do fails.
That is the greatest line ever “Rino surrender monkeys”. That describes them perfectly.
Unfortunately, senility is NOT impeachable offense.
What I heard from McCarthy is, that he believes he can manage the old resident better that the Hoe.
The democrats run roughshod over this issue during Trump’s term. They were told pay backs would be done, but Nanzi tilted her head back and LOL.
So where are those pay backs, Kev? Or are you just a big mouth talking?
Why yes, of course it is. Does anyone expect anything else? 2022, if by chance the RATs don’t cheat a win, will be just like last time. Many chances to really change things, but they will botch it and help Biden, That will create a situation where people are totally fed up and it will ruin any political win in 2024.
The GOP are predictably worthless ahoes. All talk and nothing else. The are incapable of being worthy of our vote.
Impeaching the clown is a WASTE OF TIME.
If you cannot get a conviction, you don’t prosecute.
Biden is a disaster. He cannot be removed. Let’s be real.
So he doesn't believe Biden committed any impeachable offenses? Letting illegals stream across the border? Getting payments from the Chinese via Hunter?
We are talking about multiple acts of bribery and abuse of power over the past 15 years. If these aren’t serious impeachable offenses then nothing qualifies. Biden has to expect this whether it is brought up now or now. If he doesn’t that is definite grounds of removal.
Plan the action, not the outcome.
McCarthy needs to step aside. He is part of the big club.
How about all the actual crimes that Biden and his merry band of criminals have committed, such as opening our borders? That would be an impeachment for a crime not for political reasons.
