If they are properly maintained there should be no problem.
A big IF.

They're likely saving that for deployment against the only other country to use nuclear weapons in combat.

If Putin is taken out by mutinous troops looking to appoint a new Tsar, you’re gonna need a new hero.

If Ukraine has such a great military...why did they forget about weapons? And everyone knows...In Ukraine...guns can only be obtained for hunting...not personal protection. Nice country that Ukraine.

Remember that “meet the new boss same as the old boss”. If Putin is replaced nothing changes if it’s a KGB hack or a Communist. They may make some overtures then it will be back to business as usual.

I’d imagine they’d have to clean the cosmoline from those doggies.

Ya think!?
I regret I never bought one of those crates of cosmoline-covered SKSs or Moisins you could get back 25 years ago for next to nothing.

My AK 74 is like an old work truck it always runs, both are cheap to run, I only have to occasionally wash off the mud, wipe out the dust and the cooties. and both have the same punch when they hit you.

Just got 240 rounds of 7.62X54R literally yesterday.

No 8mm Mauser however. I’m low on those too.

Thanks for that chart. Funny.

Some of the Mosins would come wrapped in wax paper and tied with twine. You’d spend the weekend trying to get them completely clean. Very accurate bolt rifles, but after about 50 rounds, you wouldn’t be able to lift your arm up. Light weight with a lot of kick.
Love the smell of cosmoline in the morning.... smells like....

Just got 240 rounds of 7.62X54R literally yesterday. Of course you remember the wooden cases that would have (2) 440 round spam cans of the 7.62x54R. I think those were like $36 or something. The shipping was more than that. I'll have to look at my old Shotgun News to remember exactly. I remmeber paying $100 for a thousand rounds of Russian steel case .223 and 7.62 x 39mm.
I picked up some spam cans of 5.45x39 cheap, thinking it was 7.62. Ooops. So then I had to buy an AK-74, of course.
