Amy Schumer implied she was stepping away from her active career for a 'month' break as she shared an Instagram snap with her son Gene on Thursday morning.
The 40-year-old comedian wrapped her arms around her two-year-old little one in the peaceful photo, and wrote: 'Out of office reply for the next month. Thanks.'
Her latest post follows a social media share on Wednesday morning where she admitted she was 'still triggered and traumatized' by the 'disturbing' moment when Will Smith stormed onto the stage and slapped Chris Rock during Sunday night's 94th annual Academy Awards ceremony.
Amy followed up her restful post with another snap of the pair shared to her stories, and wrote 'OOO next month' across the shot.
Smith, 53, sent shockwaves around the world when he slapped Rock, 57, after the comedian made a bald head joke about Will's wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, who has spoken about losing her hair due to alopecia.

So many mixed messages coming out about what really happened that at this point sources close to Rock AND Smith are saying people are lying....such as Rock source claiming it’s a lie that he was asked whether Smith should be ejected.

But people like Schumer seem traumatized -- traumatized -- by a slap that someone else experienced.
Such extreme sensitivity in a an adult is distressing. This should not be psychologically crippling to anyone. Except, perhaps, Will Smith, who may have ruined his career and feel consumed with regret. But Schumer has no reason to be psychologically crippled.
Attention getting tactics by hasbeens. “Look at me. Look at me”. If she was traumatized then she is even more pathetic than I imagined.
