Bob Saget was confusingly left out of the “In Memoriam” segment at the 2022 Oscars on Sunday, sparking outrage from fans.
Saget himself was an Oscar winner, scoring a student Academy Award in 1977 for his black-and-white documentary “Through Adam’s Eyes.”
Twitter was quick to point out the Academy’s glaring omission in its special segment to honor those who were lost in the past year.
“Rioting because Bob Saget wasn’t in the In Memoriam portion of the #Oscars,” one fan pointed out.
“No but seriously, why wasn’t Bob Saget in the memoriam?” added another.
“Cancel the #oscars for not mentioning Bob Saget in the Memoriam,” chimed in another.

Always thought they should play Jim Caroll’s “People Who Died” when they do those In Memoriam segments.
So let me get this straight, the Oscar producers are too inept to include an obvious in the news recent death in their “In memoriam” section, yet they strategically planned having Will Smith rise to a JOKE to confront and physically attack a comedian and then sit down and shout profanity for the audience and viewers to hear thinking somehow that would inspire new audiences to watch in the future.
Then, Denzel Washington and Bradley Cooper were also “in” on this conspiracy for ratings and were seen consoling Will and his wife all to make this “stage” event seem real.
I guess some viewers think they really filmed Martians on Mars too.

Do they go by calendar year or from one ceremony to the next? Since Bob Saget died in January would his memorial normally be in the 2023 Oscars?
I don’t really know, but it should have at least mentioned him................
I will never forget it. I was dodging some illegal border-crossing prospective US Citizen MS-13 members, which was hard to do seeing as how my child was telling me his public school teacher had convinced him he was a girl, on the way to pawn some family heirlooms to put fuel in my car, when I heard the news that Bob Saget had not been included in the Oscar tribute.
Didn’t watch. That was the extent of it?

Never watched these drama queens and kings go about their yearly self congratulations. They are just so full of themselves and don’t know shit from shinola .
They mentioned William Hurt and Betty White...
He threatened the latter, but the prior is much more satisfying if the Russians don’t do us all a favor.
Did he die in 2021 or 2022. Quite honestly, I don’t recall.
I used to love it, but have not watched since the 80's.
