In a truly shocking moment, Will Smith just smacked Chris Rock in the face after the comedian made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith at The Oscars.
Chris was up on stage Sunday presenting for Best Documentary, but before he started naming the nominees ... he was firing off zingers to the crowd, and eventually landed on Will and Jada Pinkett Smith.
Chris made a comment about Jada's shaved head ... saying he couldn't wait to see 'G.I. Jane 2' -- which got some groans from the crowd, to which he just sorta shrugged off.
Chris didn't think he'd crossed a line, but Will clearly did ... because he stormed the stage and literally socked the dude in the face. A stunned Rock exclaimed, "Wow. Will Smith just smacked the #### outta me."
The American broadcast on ABC muted, and even froze, but in other countries it continued ... and Will shouted "Keep my wife's name out your #### mouth" twice to Chris.
Chris eventually gained his composure again and carried on with handing out the Oscar, but the room was left tense with a sense of unease.

It was real. Chris Rock can’t even talk and is so flustered, he can’t even say what the next award is correctly. He says “We are here to give a documentary out”.....then corrects himself, still shaken.
I kinda have a new respect for Will Smith. Don’t joke about people’s children or their wife. Ever.
Agreed too awkward to be staged. Will lost his cool big time.. he’s probably severely p#ssy whipped which may have been what led is this. Prepare for self -searching “this is not who I am” tweets from will.

Maybe, but why? It certainly didn't make anyone look good or increase the stature of the Oscars - especially with Smith yelling the F-word from his seat.
I haven’t watched the Oscars in 30 years…and only did because of one tv in the house and my mom loved to watch the Oscars…BUT I have seen the slap multiple times already…
I just saw some videos of the spring break festivities in Florida and it was the same demographic as the incident at the Oscars causing the problems.

According to the web, Rock is 5'8", 170 lbs.. Smith is 6' 2" 220 lbs. Chris Rock would have been on the deck and seeing stars for 5 mins.
exactly right.. It made the Oscars look worse than it did before, if that was possible..
This isn’t important - what’s important is: did Sean Penn eat his Oscar onstage or whatever he was going to do?
Open marriage in their case means Jada gets to do whatever the hell she wants and then humiliates Will with it. Their “marriage” is a slow motion 3D train wreck in Dolby 5.1 sound.
