Over a month after she became blackout drunk, threw up, and verbally berated pre-teen girls at a slumber party, as well as following some nearly tragic personal news, Abby Broyles has dropped out of the race in her run for Congress. She was running as a Democrat to challenge Rep. Stephanie Bice, a Republican who represents Oklahoma's 5th district.
Matt covered the incident last month, which occurred around Valentine's Day. Broyles, who suffers from anxiety and depression, had taken medication she said she's "never taken before," which led to quite the interaction after she drank some wine.
In a Medium post from March 24, "Ending my campaign for Oklahoma’s 5th Congressional District," Broyles revealed that she had tried to kill herself. "That morning, March 2nd, after thirteen days of being the center of a hometown scandal that garnered national media attention, I drank heavily in my hotel room, more than 1,300 miles away in an effort to hide and took sleeping pills, anguishing in pain reading about myself on social media and in tabloid articles," she wrote in her opening paragraph.

Basically she was irresponsible, got drunk and treated girls roughly (ALLEGEDLY). That is not something men would go to jail for, either.

Not saying I agree completely, but he does make the point that in the grand scheme of things, getting drunk and acting stupid and rude doesn't rank very high on the scale of Corruption and True Evil, which is where our so-called national leaders are sitting at lofty vantage points.
Damn few of us have never been so drunk that we did something stupid and rude.

Abby Broyles has had a drinking problem for a long time. It is a well known secret. Also, rumors are rampant that she would trade personal favors to rich or good looking men for campaign donations. I work with a person who at one time was in her inner circle early in her political campaign career. All those folks eventually left her because she is essentially A~moral. She has quite the reputation around here.

This woman wasn’t accused of anything sexual, or more than “verbal abuse”, I guess you could say (if she said “n....”, she’d be strung up, as the only thing you cannot say).

Fair point but alleged, as you pointed out with the other situation. What I’m trying to say is that a man getting drunk with a bunch of girls is in a far more precarious situation legally speaking. It is much more likely that a sexual component will be alleged.
