I do not smoke this crap but, studies like this have an agenda are irresponsible as they contribute to the criminal industrial complex.

MJ should be treated the same as booze/wine and the people who study the benefits of those mind altering substances should be the one studying MJ.

LOL, after thousands of years humans using marihuana without noticing any medical effect, until it became a political issue, we finally have proof.

Ha. Marijuana is a gateway drug alright. Most users turn into evangelistic promoters who try to suck everyone else into their addiction.

I’ve used weed to combat pain and discomfort after surgery, I don’t tolerate opioids well and sometimes I need something stronger than Tylenol. For me weed works, the pain subsides, nausea is nearly eliminated or at least well tolerated to allow me to eat and rest.

weed is not a wonder drug but for some it can help where other remedies fail. If your a fan of off topic medication like invermectin, then maybe you can see the point of allowing the use of weed to help those it can help.

[[“There have been many claims about the benefits of medical marijuana for treating pain, insomnia without sound scientific evidence to support them]]

I don’t need scientific evidence, I experience relief fro. Pain and sleep, issues taking cbd oil, or more specifically RSO oil, which is concentrated cbd oil- it has no the in it (or very little .o3% or something like that)

At first i didn’t think it was working, but then it began to kick in, and although I still wake up same time during the night, I am able to get, back to sleep instead of tossing and turning trying to fall asleep, and watching gthe hours tick by onmthe clock.

I’ve know this for some time.
Doesn’t change my opinion that weed should be legal for recreational purposes. A nice byproduct is that chronic weedheads don’t tend to reproduce in my experience.

Living and growing up in Washington State I have known a lot of marijuana users. Everyone that I know who has claimed that they were using it for medical purposes were using it long before they came up with that reason. And most of the medical problems that they claim they are using it for are typically associated with their sedentary lifestyles, poor nutrition, and obesity.

“Medical marijuana fails to improve symptoms of pain, anxiety, and depression — while increasing the risk that patients will develop an addiction to cannabis, a new study warns. Researchers from Massachusetts General Hospital add that up to one in five users may develop cannabis use disorder (CUD).”

I think it works great for those symptoms.

Interesting that the study was funded by the National Institute for Drug Abuse, a federal agency committed to keeping marijuana as a schedule one, illegal drug.

Ha ha ha ha “cannabis use DISORDER.” What a crock , I know PLENTY of people that smoke pot (I choose not to} but my God people it is less costly to society than booze (which I imbibe}....Once the thieves figured out how to milk the system and earn DOLLARS off of the legalization of pot they opened the barn doors to Hybrid extremely potent pot....back in the 70’s we would have some with beer’s at a fire out in the woods and it was no big deal. It is no gateway drug unless your cut from the cloth that is easily swayed by Meth or Heroin. “Cannabis use disorder” what a joke ..
