Does anyone here breed kitties?
A shortage of cats?
In our community the kill rate of cats at the pound is very high.
Unfortunately feral cat colonies are extremely common.
you can spay mom as soon as you know the little ones can feed themselves
How did you find out about that?!?!
Wife has now five cats in her house... ( and a dog)
No way in hell I am going back to living with that.
How many must you have to be considered unstable...just asking....
Now wait. That’s not you in the video is it Jamestown? I always pictured you being somewhere closer to my age range, not that it matters except for levels of common sense and basic education, 1630?, holy crap! I assume nothing and I admit teasing girls has always entertained me. I grew up with many sisters and girl scouts and an over population of female people in and around my life. I feel privileged because of that. Women are a gift from God that he knew would hold a special place in men’s hearts, doubly in mine.
Yes. I breed kitties. Yuge demand for them. Can charge hundreds of dollars sometimes.
She would also lie on the lawn motionless, until she felt
movement underground. Then she would start digging
furiously until she came up with a mole in her mouth.
She was also very territorial. It was HER yard.
And if Gypsy the female German Shepherd from two doors
down wandered into the yard - watch out. She had no fear
of Gypsy. She would run full speed at the shepherd -
which had no idea just WHAT this angry furball was coming
at her at light speed, freeze, turn tail and run all the
way back to her own yard with the maniac furball on her
tail.
But in her advanced years she became obese, lazy and slow.
She would just lay there in the grass swishing her tail
while squirrels, rabbits, chipmunks grazed on whatever
it was in the lawn that they ate. They would come to
within three feet of the cat without fear - because they
knew they could scatter away ten times faster than that
fat old cat could (try to) run.
Not here. Every stray is fixed.
Not looking for big money just good homes
I remember a Chinese place in Bowling Green, KY shut down for the same thing.
Aww. Aren’t you sweet.
All my cats have all been purr-sians.
Check a listing of cat shows (CFA or TICA) in driving distance of where you live. Go to one or two and just look. The are good breeders and lots of average in every breed.
Wife and I saw a couple of them. When to another. There were display cages, which normally hold two cats, had one cat (25 lb+, NOT fat). And that was tight. Maine Coon. Serious breeder and international judge.
Maine Coons are fun and large, like snow, rain. Will leap/hop to counter height. Got to youtube. Try “Maine Coon doors” and see how smart they are.
I guess they have no idea what some breeds of cats sell for, they are only acquainted with alley cats.
They are also very expensive, take a look here.
I had a Maine Coon friend once. The size of the skull and paws on that cat was kind of amazing.
It was also scary smart.
There was a Chinese place nearby that got tagged by county health for seagull (yes, seagull) meat in the freezer. It changed hands not long after.

If I knew how to post a photo I’d put up my 22 pound Maine Coon, Persian mixed breed.
Such a sweet story. We have a large long-haired black cat here at our complex. Friend got trap from SPCA, managed to get him into it after a couple of days. SPCA came and picked him up, neutered him, gave him shots and brought him back. That’s their policy. Unadoptable but cared for.
“Blackie” is gorgeous but very shy. I put food out for him just before dark every night. One night I was late and he was meowing piteously at me. Poor poor Blackie gets the same pricey crunchies I give my cat but eats far more of it. I don’t care. I’m just here to protect and serve..
