People in both parties will tell you that their own side is made up of feckless wimps who cower at the first sign of resistance, while the other side is populated by ruthless Machiavellians who will go to any lengths to win. But they can’t all be right.
A look at Washington, and more vividly, at the states, tells us which side is mercilessly advancing its goals and which isn’t. And there are few better illustrations of this vast imbalance than how the parties have responded to the extraordinary Texas abortion law passed last year.
A recap: The Texas law outlawed almost all abortions after six weeks of pregnancy, before many women know they’re pregnant. This is plainly unconstitutional; the Supreme Court has repeatedly held that women have the right to an abortion before viability, and even abortion opponents don’t claim that a six-week-old fetus is viable.
To evade the courts, the law put enforcement in the hands of private vigilantes, allowing anyone to sue abortion providers, or anyone who even helped a woman get an abortion. In a shocking move, the Supreme Court allowed the Texas law to stand, potentially for years, while it and other abortion laws are adjudicated by the courts.
Conservatives fully understand the implications of this. When the Supreme Court heard oral arguments on the Texas law last November, Justice Brett M. Kavanaugh noted that if it law stands, states could restrict all kinds of constitutional rights by putting enforcement in the hands of vigilantes instead of the government. “It could be free speech rights,” he said. “It could be free exercise of religion rights. It could be Second Amendment rights, if this position is accepted here.”

The GOP are ruthless monsters because they are trying to stop people from murdering fetuses seems to be the biggest beef here. How are women going to be able to get the abortions they need with this GOP ruining things?

We have all kinds of birth control gizmos now. "The pill" is supposed to be like 99.9% effective if taken according to directions. There are IUDs. There are progesterone implants. There is the "morning after" abortion pill. There are progesterone shots. There are ALL KINDS OF THINGS including the traditional condom and, you know, just deciding that tonight ISN'T going to be the night.
What happened to all those things that were supposed to make abortion RARE?
So, then, they should be able to show us plain text to make their point.

Speaking of poor and underprivileged folks: Let’s outlaw firearms so people in poor communities where there’s not exactly a police presence won’t be able to defend themselves AT ALL.

Which Party lies the most?
The Texas law does no such thing.
It creates - or affirms - the right of Texans to sue abortion providers and enablers in civil court.
I have essentially been trying to tell people that for YEARS, and, while I was teaching in the public schools. You can imagine how I've been treated. No, actually, you can't. Your statement is complete truth. I have told my wife for YEARS that they want to kill us. I weary of trying to get folks to wake up and realize the danger.
Correct. The current Democratic Party of America is by far the most ruthless, most evil political party this world has ever seen, with leaders who condone BLM murders and a DOJ that refuses to prosecute them for openly committing terrible crimes including looting and murder.

Which party controls the FBI and DOJ and uses them not to enforce the law but as a weapon to punish their enemies?

I won’t give the Wapo a click to read it. But I have a question. If Republicans are as bad as they say, do they think calling Republicans “ruthless” will give them the sadz?
We are the producers, they are the leaches. They need us, we don’t need them.
If they kill us they will be committing suicide. Who will pay for all the welfare comforts? They will either die a fast death by our hand or a slow death by their own hand.

I don’t believe for a minute that currently, most aborted pregnancies are unplanned. The going strategy is to use pregnancy to trap men into marriage. Failing that, the strategy is to make the baby pay with his/her life.
The irony. progressives loved the USSR and the old leaders.
Now, the only thing they hate more than Putin are unborn babies.
But in reality. They don’t hate Putin because he invaded Ukraine. They hate Putin because they believed their own bull crap that he “stole” the election from Hillary. They don’t give a darn about Ukraine.
Your problem is that you still believe there are two sides.
Or, we could reject the "two sides" construct which has been devised by some very clever people to set us at each other's throats, allowing them to rule while we tear each other apart.
Instead of 50-50 politics, start thinking about 95-5 politics, and about what would constitute justice for the 5%.
The Democrats are more ruthless than the Republicans, but on a world historical level many parties around the world have been even more ruthless.
More than half of the elected Republicans are Assistant Democrats.
