That didn’t take long.
Tom Brady announced on Sunday night that he is returning for his 23rd season, just six weeks after he retired from the NFL. In a Twitter post, Brady said he would be returning to the Buccaneers.
“These past two months I’ve realized my place is still on the field and not in the stands,” Brady wrote. “That time will come.

There’s always some guy sick of her $#it, no matter how hot she is.
Good one there lol.
Babylon bee already has an hysterical headline about Tom. lol
US Senator from Florida
His wife couldn’t take him moping around the house all day.
We all need to hit the classroom for this very important lesson. 👨🏫
220, 221 whatever it takes...
I was in grade school, 4th or 5th grade in 70 or 71, when they first introduced it to us. Went over like a lead brick. We were all used to playing kickball, dodgeball, slaughter ball, and team hand ball. There was no way we weren’t going to use our hands.l
But I remember thinking to myself that this was a commie plot to introduce us to a game that was played by every third world country and socialist nation in the world.
Hated since day one.
Power to him. I remember when Joe Montana came back 93, 94 with Kansas City. He did did really well and completed 61% of his passes. Brady is pure talent.
Yes, Montana came back after back injury late into his career and was asked why don’t you just retire and Joe said your given a shot to play this came only once in a lifetime and he wasn’t ready to quit yet.
He’s an attention hound
Mediocre players tend to be better coaches. Brady just trademarked dozens of products from deodorant to vitamins. His business ventures can keep him busy full time, like Michael Jordan.
Of course he’s returning. The spice must flow...
Evidently, he needs the money for gas.
As an aside, I played the game in college. We were never as good as the pros (or teams in other countries) but I played right up to age 50 and coached a high school team. The game is difficult to understand unless you have some experience in it. I would liken it to golf, at which I dabble. I appreciate it when someone makes a really good shot. (Maybe good plays happen in soccer too, but do not result in goals. But the best team of players definitely has a better chance of winning — same as football).
And BTW, soccer does excite me. and I am also an Auburn football fan. But the great plays in soccer are more subtle than the great plays in football. It is easy to see why we enjoy a guy who makes it to the other team’s backfield or catches a long pass over the weak attempt by the back to stop the catch. Football is also a sport where much of the win comes in the line where people don’t understand the incredible skill that goes into keeping another player from ruining a third down try. Soccer has a lot of that type of skill and then someone hits a long shot into the cornor of the net. Goal! Come on, there is nothing wrong with soccer.
Well, Arnold maid time being Mr. Mom or whatever to find some crack to be up in as I recall
Back to Tampa Bay, 45 minutes from where I live. I’m delighted - another exciting football year down here in FL (some good news for once).
Soccer would be better if they got rid of flopping, as in all sports. It’s gotten really bad in basketball. But American football has a lot less.
