Lardass Bill Barr was announced as the winner of the coveted Progressive Judas Award. As a result of winning the Judas Award, Barr will receive the "Thirty Pieces of Silver" 5 million dollar book deal. Although the book will probably only sell a couple hundred retail copies, libraries and colleges will be coerced into buying millions of copies.
Former 2021 Judas award winner John Bolton was a bit snippy about Barr's win. John said Bill had not exaggerated or created mistruths or lies of a level justifying the award.
Satire? Where’s the satire?
Bolton is probably sitting in his living room right now. Wearing a bathrobe, walrus mustache all awry, knocking back Glenfiddich, with 6 TVs all blaring news feeds. Hasn’t showered since Russia invaded the Ukraine. He’s shouting at the TVs, “Nuke us Vlad! Fulfill my heart’s desire! I’ve worked years to see this. Nuke everyone, Vlad.”
Yes, and 30 pieces of silver was the Levitical penalty for the death of a slave. In this case political stoning of a selfless public servant (Trump).
I’d say in order to be eligible for such an award you would need to be perceived as good and then found out to be evil.
In the case of Barr everybody except Trump knew that he was evil.
