Ya use what you got.
Try this video, which has a lot more to it. Including several runs of the crash.
She placed her patrol car in the path of the drunken woman and was hit head on, really hard. The drunk was probably going at least 50 when she hit her.
Just last week I was on the freeway as a wrong way driver came down an exit ramp just past me. He was being pursued by the police who broke off the chase as soon as he hit the ramp.
Our closing speed was around 150 mph. Any collision would be fatal.
What a brave officer.
In the future when you need the police, please do not call them. Enjoy the results.
Sad, but true, commentary!
Why would I call the police? So they can protect the criminals?
Because in California that’s typical.
I was just reading about this. Quick thinking and brave. She got hurt pretty bad in the crash I guess.
Yeah, this is quite impressive. I don’t often say ‘heroic’ but it definitely applies here.

Was the trooper behaving in a truly altruistic manner? Hm, let me think. If her job is to help others and prevent mayhem, then she was acting in her own best interests and logically according to her values. I’m sure she would never have forgiven herself for letting Drunk Gal kill a bunch of people. And, you know, she likely would at the very least have got passed up for a promotion.
What a nasty crash! She literally only had a second or two to decide how to act.
