I think the US is backing the wrong side in the Ukraine invasion

I have come to believe that the US is backing the wrong side in the Ukrainian invasion, and it is not an accident.

Trump and Putin were the two most powerful nationalistic leaders in the world. They have zero interest in the Great Rest or the New World Order. They are all about their own countries--as they should be. They were chosen to lead their respective country--not as governors for some world leader we may or may not know about (Deep State).

Trump was "defeated" in 2020 at the polls and dismissed from leadership. We all know what happened with that, and there is no need to go into it any more. Biden, the ultimate puppet figurehead is now in place.

As FreeRepublic has already documented, George Soros has spoken his support for Ukraine, and Ukraine itself has spoken the quiet part out loud. This war was a trap for Putin, and he jumped in with both feet.

Putin is currently undergoing his own purge. With this invasion he was forced into, he will lose control of his country and will probably be forced into "retirement." While I was not aware of Ukrainian military abilities, it should be obvious to anyone on this board that Putin SHOULD have been fully aware of what the Ukrainian military can do, and what his own military can do. I can only conclude that he was given false information on both of these topics by his own people, leading to this invasion. It seems to me that Putin now has two options--lose this war, or go big. Both are scary for him and the world.

To our north, Trudeau is playing the puppet very well, so he will continue to "lead" Canada. I think we all know he does not call the shots up there, either.

I believe that I know who *does* call the shows around the world, but that is an opinion for another time.

The idea that Putin was forced into invading Ukraine is laughable.

I am still waiting to hear who forced him? Amway? Scientology? Lyndon Larouche? Alec Baldwin? Bigfoot? Enquiring minds want to know.

No one is right in this war.

Everyone is wrong.

If Russia did nothing, NATO would expand its attacks and continue siphoning massive amounts of money off the pipeline. NATO seems to enjoy flexing its military to smaller nation states.

Russia is also wrong because there are better ways to go about this. The strategy was wrong. They could have joined NATO and then collapsed it.

If Russia fails, it will dissolve. China will carpet bag it. China will rule over the largest and most powerful country in the history of earth. And we will live under their thumb for centuries.

No one wins this one.

All is moot bc Ukraine cannot defend itself from Russia for long. A smaller football or whatever team can hold its own for a quarter or maybe 2, but 3 and 4th quarters they can’t last and it’s a bloodbath. Ukraine will compromise to Russia liking in the end, just a matter of when putin wants that end to be and how rough. Sorry for Ukraine people but I don’t think they can win

"I have come to believe that the US is backing the wrong side in the Ukrainian invasion, and it is not an accident."

You have come to believe?? What you spew is conjecture and postulates. Your opinion is nothing more that a loose fitting puzzle with a few mismatched pieces you are forced to ignore or your guess reads more like nonsense than a half baked possibility that stretches the imagination no matter how you present it.

You made a guess based on a few dots you imagined form something that you concluded in your own mind. Are you playing "Wheel of Fortune" without enough letters to guess the correct phrase, but took a guess anyways?

You pat yourself on the back for a guess that makes a lot of assumptions and subjective conclusions.

I don't agree with most of it as being remotely plausible, but life is sometimes stranger than fiction.

I wouldn’t have wanted you with me in 1776 crossing the Delaware.

Sip your latte, and get back to watching Sex in the City.

Of course you are right Jim, but I do feel good that there must be a few adults left in NATO. When the Poles were dumb enough to suggest letting Ukraine fly from bases in Poland, someone stepped in and stopped all of the aircraft transfers. That bought us at least a couple more days without nuclear war.

I doubt our ability to impose the “right” cost on Russia for this invasion. If Putin does not survive, Germany will fall in love again so fast that gas will be flowing through nordstream 2 before next winter. The question is whether Putin is the only player in Russia.

The TRUTH as I sit here and type.....I told a family member the EXACT same thing two nights ago.....Like Trump, Putin is about sovereignty....And he loves his home country Russia just as much as Trump loves his home country America....He does not want, nor support, “A New World Order” which is nothing more than a one world government.....The usual suspects globally support Ukraine and where do they stand on the issue of “A New World Order?”

The Russians know all about Afghanistan debacles. The Russians will bear any cost though to stop this provocative, catastrophically destabilizing aggressive expansion of NATO. Look at the map, Ukraine would put NATO armored divisions ready to drive across the border into the very heart of Russia. Remember the domino theory. The Russians have seen the domino effect transform Poland, Hungary, the Baltic States, Bulgaria, East Germany and Czechoslovakia from allies to virulently anti Russian NATO members. The Ukrainian domino would be the last to fall before the Russian state itself begins to crumble. Putin or the Russian strongmen who’ll replace him will never allow this to happen regardless of the cost.

Thank you for a kook immoral view of the rape and destruction of an innocent people. It’s cuckoo birds like you who don’t know a damn thing about the world and what’s in the interests of this great nation, who sit in your rooms and develop fantasies tying Trump to Putin, and the secret cabal that really runs the world.

The people being murdered tonight would look upon you as an out of touch lunatic. Which you are.

IF we are ever led by this insanity, America will be destroyed.

And watching people line up to say you’re “right” is scary.

Why don’t you stop your stupid lies. No one was threatening Russia and you know it. NATO wasn’t doing a damn thing to Russia.

People, stop listening to jackasses who tell you Russia needed to destroy Ukraine because it’s next door on a map.

By the way, Putin himself listed a dozen other wacky reasons why he was invading - because Kruschev shouldn’t have “given away” other countries and the Ukrainian leadership are drug addicts and nazis. He said he is de-nazifying the Ukraine.

What he’s doing is seizing the second largest country in Europe, along with its people, resources and strategic position.

Putin doesn’t believe for a second the bullcrap excuses you’re making for him.

Sooo, let me understand then, you think Biden is sane? Or we ARE being destroyed? Just askin’.

Don’t misunderstand, please, I don’t think that there’s any Good Guys in this fight, only a lot of civilians stuck in the middle.

ISWYDT, Paraphrasing George Carlin quote, think of how stupid the average person is, and half the world is stupider than that.

The rest of what he did NOT say was that many of the stupider half are “in charge”. And struggle daily to stay in charge.

Sane smart people are not in charge, and are losing the argument.

Those who can, do.
Those who can’t, teach.
Those who can’t teach, become politicians.

I was referring to the poster here and said nothing about Biden.

Yes Biden is doing his best to destroy us.
