One of my favorite bands and songs -- "Whiter Shade of Pale"-- from the 60s.

I saw one of the reunion shows with my brother about 15 years ago - he was still pretty good then.

Not exactly in the class of The Beatles or The Stones but A Whiter Shade of Pale is an all-time all-time classic. Sometimes you only get one of those in a career. And sometimes one is enough. RIP.

My absolute all time favorite song. I used to wish some Olympic class skater would do a routine to it.

Great funeral dirge of a song. Back in my long haired days, I listened to it like seventeen times in a row after a chick turned me down for a date.

It must be a mixed blessing to have your band’s first hit become the best known song your band would ever release, but at least they had that one induring hit.
As most people know, the organ fade out was partially based on J.S. Bach’s “Air’ composition.

This has always been one of my favorite bands. A Salty Dog is also one of their best tunes.

I just heard “Conquistador” on the radio station the other day. Great song.

Saw them live back in the 70’s, Uriah Heep was the opening act IIRC.

Procol Harum (/ˈproʊkəl ˈhɑːrəm/) are an English rock band formed in 1967. Their best-known recording is the 1967 hit single "A Whiter Shade of Pale", one of the few singles to have sold over 10 million copies.[4] Ten million copies?! That's not bad.
