You now hear a lot of chatter in other states and around the country about, 'oh, we’re going to lift mask mandates on these little children,’ as if somehow they just had an epiphany. Or even some suggest the science has changed.
Let me just tell you, the science has not changed one iota.
We knew from the beginning and that’s why Florida has never imposed a forced masking policy on school children. That’s why we fought to liberate the kids from the forced masking that was done on the local level because there was never a justification for it.
If you look at that CDC and Biden’s administration did, they are outliers in the rest of the world. If you look at all the industrialized countries, not one country was as absolutely insane about forced masking of kids as the United States government was.
I’m proud to say that in Florida we stood up to the Biden administration, we stood with the parents and we stood with the wellbeing of the kids. I can tell you, these kids are so much happier being able to go to school without having to wear masks for eight hours a day.
So when you start to see them kind of reevaluate or say all this, just understand this. The science didn’t change – well, the medical science didn’t change, the political science changed. They feel the heat. They know that voters have been tired of perpetual lockdown policies. They know that they have basically offered no offramp. They know that they’re fixing to get whooped at the polls. So that’s what is causing the epiphany.
But the fact of the matter is if they had looked at the actual science from the beginning, they would have known that this was something that Florida was right on.

DeSantis needs to be our next President. He’s not as attractive as Trump, but we don’t need flash now…we need hard-hitting. Either DeSantis or Pompeo. Or DeSantis, with Pompeo as SOS again. And maybe Youngkin as AG.

I’m in CA. If my kids were younger I’d have moved to Florida in the summer of 2020. I can now work anywhere remotely and I like humidity. But my now junior wanted to stick it out, so I said OK. She “doesn’t mind the mask.” I moved her to private school, however.
I’m vacationing in FL next week as Hawaii is too much of a pain in the ass to visit right now.

Consider it a scouting trip then, for a couple of years from now when you are more able to move. Also maybe check out the “bright futures” program, where you might could get free in-state tuition for your young lady if she was here in time. Have fun either way.
I know this:
2004 - Dems tried to replay the 2000 election. They lost again.
2020 - Dems tried to overturn the 2016 election. If you believe Biden actually lost the vote, the Dems lost this one too.
Whomever the GOP nominates in 2024, I’ll vote for them but if the 2024 goal is to overturn the 2020 election, Republicans will lose. They need to talk forward, not backward. They need to spell out how they will turn the country around not argue spilled milk from 2020.
I agree, Trump and Republicans were done dirty. But if we campaign on fixing the wrongs of 2020, we won’t win. That’s why I’m watching DeSantis closely.
