It took us a while to track down the information, but sadly, I am announcing the passing of our 'Greeneyes' on Thursday, December 30, 2021. She was having triple bypass surgery and obviously did not make it.

I’ll miss Greeneyes posts on Free Republic. She shared a wealth of information on various topics. Glad we got to know her as a FReeper.

She will be missed. Such a kind soul. I found a gourd on the lake the winter a year ago and planted it’s seeds. My friend told me they were called coyote melons. Strangely enough, I found another ornamental type gourd a couple of weeks ago beachcombing the lake. It will be planted in her memory.

So sorry to hear of her passing. She has shared her vast knowledge with so many over the years. She will be missed.

Thank you for letting us know. It’s a big loss to us all on FR & I’m very much feeling a personal loss even though I didn’t know her outside of the Garden Thread. I almost lost a very dear relative this summer due to bypass surgery ( one foot over the death’s door threshold) & that’s why this news hits especially close to home. Prayers for peace & comfort to the family.
