Bear hunting is obviously still very popular in rural PA.

We have a monster living on the ridge above our house. He’s at least 600 pounds, probably more. We’ve seen him several times on our trail cams. I’ve asked a guy I let hunt up there to leave him be. That bear’s an old soul.

When I was in scouting I loved it when a boy who missed the campout asked how it went the next meeting...

\/\/ayne: Well, we were attacked by a bear - the biggest bear we'd ever seen! All of us ran into our sleeping bags and hid except (name the smallest boy.)"

"(Smallest boy) was amazing! He just walked up to the bear and gave it a left cross. Then he put it in an armlock. You know what happened, then? (No, what?!) Another bear came! So (smallest boy) just sighed and put that bear into an armlock with his other hand!"

At this point smallest boy is just grinning from ear to ear.

\/\/ayne: "So then a third bear came running in! We were all still hiding in our sleeping bags and looking out of the tents! (Smallest boy) just sighed again and started juggling the three bears! Finally he tossed them away and they ran!"

Ain’t no black bear that big, must be a brown bear with a dye job.

Prolly went to Elvis’s hairdresser and told her, “Make me look like ‘The King.’”

722 pounds is enough for two big black bears, in my neck of the woods.
