Vachik Mangassarian, a veteran actor known for his roles in NCIS, Calm your enthusiasm, and Agents du SHIELD. died at the age of 78 from complications of COVID-19.
Representatives of Mangassarian have confirmed The Hollywood Reporter that he died in Burbank, California. The Iranian-born Armenian star moved to the United States at the age of 23 and landed his first Hollywood role in 1978. In the decades since, he has held a multitude of roles, including that of architect Qasim Zaghlul in Marvel. Agents du SHIELD and featured guest on Calm your enthusiasm. More recently, he appeared on NCIS : Los Angeles and started working on his last movie, Move on, where he had a supporting role in the middle of Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin.
In the months leading up to his death, Mangassarian had frequently voiced his opposition to COVID-19 vaccines and veered into truth territory, posting memes on Facebook suggesting the pandemic was part of a grand conspiracy...

A representative for Mangassarian said the actor initially opposed getting the coronavirus vaccine, but eventually got vaccinated after he was required for film projects.
“I know his original position, but after having a conversation with him, his desire to work became more important to him,” Valerie McCaffery of McCaffery Talent Management told The Daily Beast.

At first glance on the "news du jour" websites [Yahoo, MSN, etc], it looks like another vocal anti-vaxxer bit the dust, and that's how the casual reader sees it.
Turn the rock over, and it's a little more ugly on the dirty side...
