Ford has stopped accepting customer orders for the Maverick because demand for the compact pickup now exceeds Ford’s production capacity. The problem is people keep ordering the Ford Maverick, and the carmaker says it refuses to take on more orders than it can build, according to the Wall Street Journal. To be clear, this is a good problem to have, unlike the problems Ford ran into with recent model debuts. Right now, Ford is struggling to catch up on Maverick orders dating back to the truck’s release, and the carmaker told dealers those orders get first dibs. Some inventory will trickle in to dealers to “replenish stocks,” but Maverick orders are closed until mid-2022, per the WSJ:

They are a nice looking truck. My neighbor just purchased one.
Never buy a vehicle that’s in the 1st few years of production.......just sayin’.
I STILL want a Diesel/Hybrid
19,995.00 starting price. No frills.
4 banger gas and EV motor.
4-5 year old used trucks are selling for that
People can afford it
Especially godawful Ford. Stupidly bought 2 of their beasts and have had nothing but problems. Watch 'FordTechMakuloco' on YouTube to see how many structural engine and transmission snafus Ford "engineers" (needlessly) created that literally doom millions of car owners to hellish maintenance issues.
Not bad, even the base model is a crew cab starting under $20k. I wouldn’t mind the 4WD either if they produce one, but that’ll jack the price up a good bit.

No problem here. Scotty Kilmer keeps mentioning it every week.
Now they are building a truck with the same name??
Good luck. It's probably electric too right???
I had a 1971 Ford Maverick. It was dependable ans easy to work on. In line 6 cyl. But it couldn’t stand the amount of salt MN uses on its roads. It literally rust away out from under me.
Last I checked, Ford lost money for every vehicle it sold, thanks to UAW contracts. It’d be a good problem if Ford were a healthy company.
Kinda like software.
I’ve been using CorelDraw since almost the beginning Version 3 in 1992. Still use it every day.
What do you call the first 50,000 users of a new version of Draw? Beta testers.
Basically, you wait for the 3rd patch to be released before buying.
A basic vehicle. My mother had one and it did just what it was supposed to do. She lived in the south so no salted road worries.
I’ll settle for a small diesel truck.
I had a 1970. They were intended to compete with the Duster and Nova. They were actually upgraded Falcons. I wrecked mine and discovered most mechanical parts from a 1966 Mustang were interchangeable. The front fender design was found on the Pinto and later Mustangs. They got the most out of parts interchangeability.
My 1970 was easy to work on, had little mechanical trouble. It cost $2,000 new.
I hear the electrical systems are a problem on the full size trucks

Ford earnings $0.71 per share. Dividend almost $2 per share.
I was in the user interface piece of software development and testing for a while and it used to drive me crazy when the developers would come out with a new upgrade and would bypass testing and go right into production.
** It literally rust away out from under me.**
Summer 71, I just turned 17, bought my neighbor’s 69 falcon. Inline 6, 170 cid. 3 speed manual. My plan was to drive it a year, then drop a 302 and 4 speed in it. A year later I could see that the northern IL salt was starting to bubble the paint in several places, so I just drove it for another year. 5 winters and it was looking bad.
Summer 73, I decided to trade for a 71 Mach 1, that had already seen two winters (the owner had bought it fall of 70). He commuted 80 miles a day to a good job, and traded every two years.
Loved the Mustang, but I had bought the same problem. Two years later sold it, and the bubbling was really bad. 5 winters and that car was deteriorating fast.
They were considering "Edsel"...
