UPDATE: JAN. 18
The driver, identified as 63-uyear-old Scott Brodie, was pronounced dead at the hospital on Saturday.
PREVIOUS COVERAGE:
SPOKANE, Wash - A couple is recovering after crashing into a moose on I-90 west of Spokane Wednesday night.
Officials say the man and woman were badly hurt.
They were flown to a hospital.
Eastbound I-90 was closed for a short time but is now back open.
A moose once bit my....oh, never mind.
A moose once bit my bumper.
Moose have non-reflective eyes. Can’t see them standing in the middle of the road at night.
I narrowly missed one in NH way back when I was a teenage rider. I went off the road into a ditch which was better than hitting a tree.
The Frankenstein geneticists will now try to inject some firefly DNA into moose eyes.
Years ago, I had an uncle that was killed when he ran into a horse on the highway. A moose is considerably larger than a horse.
Not a bad idea, lol.
The main thing with a moose is that the body is windshield height.
Yeah, they can take the roof right off, not good on the passengers.
Never mind about the driver, did the moose suffer injuries?
Can turn your truck into a cabriolet model real quick.
Went to a wedding in Vermont 25 or so years ago.
What I learned from the locals is that a moose is basically 1000# +/- of meat up on 4’ stilts. You hit one with a car at speed, he gets knocked off his stilts, crashes through the windshield, and not infrequently kills the driver in the process.
Whitetail around here are bad enough, I am glad we don’t have to worry about mooses.
That moose looks like he’s going to bite more than your sister...
FTA: The driver, identified as 63-uyear-old Scott Brodie....
Is that some special sort of Washington way of telling a person’s age?
Lordy, how hard is it to proofread a few lines?
Piss-poor decision to shoot. Shoulda waited for a full broadside-dbl lung shot.
And yes, I’m experienced in shooting big stuff with arrows.
YIKES!!
You’re a braver man than me. I wouldn’t try to take a moose with anything less than a 30-06.
