My daughter-in-law from Brazil, who took mission trips to Africa says that here in Illinois its the white tailed deer. In Africa, it is the elephants.

I had a friend hit a deer while driving a 240Z. It crashed into the windshield and broke his neck. He is still alive 30 years later, but a quadrapegic with some ability to use his arms. Not enough to wheel himself without a battery though.
